What exactly is wrong with asking people to be in full blue ilvl 70 gear in order to complete a quest which awards a purple ilvl 80 weapon that can be upgraded to ilvl 90?

This seems like very standard progression to me.

If you want your tier X+1 gear you should be wearing as much of the tier X gear as possible.

With this gear I KO'd Garuda HM without Mage's Ballad, without going under 90% MP while raising 5 times THE OTHER WHM.
It happened because the party was good.

Sorry to break it to you but if you had to raise 5 times in a single fight the only reason you beat it was either luck or someone carrying the group. 5 deaths on an encounter does not mean that the group was good.

And you need at least a mix of Darklight and AK gear to do Titan. No one is obligated to carry you through the fight when you will be spending the last 25% of it dead.

Truth is, you aren't even remotely ready to kill Titan HM.

I admit that Titan is more difficult, but it still doesn't need full DL gear.
But still I haven't got my chunk of hyperfused ore because nobody is capable of beating him, the other whm/sch dies dds don't deal enough damage, the tank doesn't aggro well...

You aren't geared enough for the fight. You barely have 3070 hp. It is not the fault of your other party member's capabilities because when you get to end phase you literally won't be able to survive the tumults/earthen fury and it has nothing to do with skill and everything to do with math.

At the very least get gear from Amdapor. A healer that can't survive Earthen Fury is literally dead weight.

Also I like that he points out the flaws in others while he himself probably makes most the same mistakes. And roll a tank before talking about aggro.

Any tank who fails to hold titans aggro is officially a terrible player.

Tank has an extremely easy job on titan... patheticly so.

And yes TC, gear isnt a huge factor in the fight, competent people who can dodge all his stuff (almost everything he does is avoidable) is whats required.

Fortunately ive never had this problem as i dont pug him, you should find a good FC.

PS - sick of tanks acting like they have the hard job, I have a 50 paladin and its a mind numblingly easy class to play until atleast turn 2 of coils.

3.2k HP is enough to run Titan. Just need to dodge everything.
Also 9 tumults...how slow is your DPS?

By the sounds of it, absolutely terrible dps, im not even sure ive seen more than 5 tumults.

DPS should do better than that even with AF gear.

Infact the only way dps can be this bad is if half the dps are dead for a long time.

The only reason people even mention DL gear when it comes to specifically titan, it is of course for the +vitality so that presuming you don't eat ANY aoe or Landslides/bombs, excellent if you work your way around those but Tumults and other part of the mechanics you cannot avoid or hide from and those eat your HP faster than you can cast. If you don't have the HP high enough to start with you won't make it to through the phases irrelevant of skill or knowing the mechanics.

Sorry but you can only blame yourself for your laziness.
You are currently under geared for Titan. Titan is not a fight you can do with just a few items. You don't even have full iLevel 60. That's completely unacceptable to do Titan.

BZZZZZT WRONG.

1. If DPS is stupid and frontloads, your tank is screwed. Give your tank a single rotation at least. THEN you're gold.
2. If your white mage frontloads, your tank is also screwed. Overhealing (healing while at full HP) causes aggro. This includes heals over time. Any tank who has tried to pull a mob, or boss, just as the white mage casts Medica II knows EXACTLY what this is like. It is horrible, and it is almost impossible to recover from that aggro yank until the Medica II expires even with Provoke.

So yes, it is possible that a BAD GROUP, or at least one bad person, can cause your tank to lose aggro on Titan, or any other mob or boss for that matter. Contrary to popular belief tanks do not have a button they can press to generate infinite aggro.
