FFXIV for New "Nintendo/Xbox"

More systems to put the game, more range of customers.

Seems alright as an idea =)

They just have to do this work when they're sure they can bill us for the game, meaning when the game will be completed. Until then, they'd better work on the PC version the best they can.

I can see this idea seeing the light of the day though.

It's not possible to play with CrossOver Games, so it's gonna be a problem. Just install a BootCamp with Windows 7 and you should be good for now.
I'm waiting the Mac version too, but having a BootCamp is really worth it.

I was thinking if FFXIV release on console(s), should be delayed till 4 generation ones. I mean really FFXIV have huge potential for this, new mmo's coming out and they are not even close to FFXIV graphic.

If u think about it more, FFXIV could really fly on 4 gen consoles, which would include removing copy paste terrain, more effect's and even more better sharp graphic

i agree ffxiv should be release for PS4 and maybe the other two but that not going to happen sadly ; ;

It took SE like 5 billion years to get Crystal tools ready for the 3 existing consoles, so unless the new Nintendo is related to the PS3, PC, or XBOX360, i doubt SE will bother making games for it.

Considering the specs, Most macs(spec wise) won't be able to play it...heck most pcs can't play it either. The requirements are still too tough for general off the shelf boxes even the macs(higher then normal pc) specs.

But realistically they'll need to port out of DX which is a no go for many game companies including ff14. Boot camp isn't an option for most mac owners, because it's booting into windows.

Back to new consoles...first they're gotta make sure FF14 can live long enough to expand...we're not exactly happy-go-lucky right now no matter what box it's running under.

And back to the topic, SE have already one legendary mmo, and working to make second one as well that good or even better with so much effort. It would be really good and interesting move if SE transfer FFXI to PS3 and FFXIV to PS4.
