FFXIV for New "Nintendo/Xbox"

SE is trying to stay away from POL. Which is the only reason XI worked on XBL.

From how I understand it the POL Servers that 360 players connect too are inside the XBL intranet and then once connected you are allowed to tunnel into the XI server which is in the SE intranet.

XIV doesn't work that way as theres no third party between the game and the user its FFXIV or nothing. The only way Microsoft will allow a game to be online on the XBL architecture is for the server that it connects to to be inside the XBL intranet which means on their hardware in their facilities. They want to prevent as much possible backdoor access to the internet as possible.

well you used to have to pay for live and ffxi, but they changed it later on so you didnt need gold

Xbox could change by the next xbox which would allow SE to put ffxiv on it and the new Nintendo could easy run FFXIV and they could change how it work also to be more main stream with the other two console.

FFXI was going to be release for WII but due to the friendlist issue with it they could not release it don't know much info on that.

But remember the point of this topic is if they could release it do you guys want new XBOX and Nintendo to have it. I for one would love to have more ways to play FFXIV on.

Also i hoping FFXIV get a release for mac and linux OS they said they going to but i guess that be for later.

@Renshi: Yes if ffxiv get release for the new xbox you have to pay for xbox live not if m$ allow players to play on the xbox without it like they did for ffxi which they wont.

That fits. When they released the Kinect they said it would add 2 years to the life of the 360 so the "leaked" 2013 release would fit that timeline.

I prefer Xbox720 to Xbox360 2.

Eventually they will make FFXIV for 360 and the new nintendo console. After all they did make FFXI for 360. It all depends on how sucessful the PS3 release will be but for sure it would be a good move for SE to have the game on as many plaforms as possible.

Am sure the new one would have HDD i wonder if the wii don't have HDD why was SE thinking of releasing ffxi on the wii too they had a problem with the wii friendship list thing.

If it has a USB port or SD card slot... anything to add some storage then it should work. The Wii had an SD card slot and you can get cheap 32GB SD cards and if that is not enough, there is 64GB too.

That mean you could really play ffxiv on it then nice thanks for the info now let's see if FFXIV ever be release outside ps3 console
