I know someone who actually loved the gameplay, graphics and everything, but left. He started playing Ragnarok Online again after 4 years, because the community there has already matured.

While I do agree with you that there's a lot of toxic players sadly unless SE actually decides to do anything about it, it will continue. They said they have no intentions to implement party kick, and it seems like they're too busy with RMT spam bans to ban someone being a jerk in game. Best thing to do as everyone will tell you, make friends, or just cross your fingers and hope you don't end up with jerks in DF.
