As a guarantee AF, it's already fast enough. Or you wish it reverted back to the old way of MMO where drop chance is totally random like, um.. dynamis in FFXI?. Twice a week, and totally random drop from each mob on a maximum of 64 alliance ppl ?

No. No, no, no, no, no. How about you guys just put this gear in relevant, lore friendly content? I mean, have you any idea how lame it is to have such amazing gear all just bunched up on a NPC for sale? During job quests, they make a big fuss about AF (even though it's a joke), but iLvl 90 AF2 with amazing stats? Oh, this NPC in Mor Dhona has an infinite supply of all of them up for trade for easily procured allagan trinkets! Wat.

You did not read his whole post.Your gross over-exaggerations (about the amount of 'end-game content', the huge number of BiS pieces, etc) are amusing, not least because Dynamis and all the other content you're alluding to came YEARS after XI's release and you're complaining XIV doesn't have that ON RELEASE.
LMAO.
XI started off slow yes. But the content built on itself, stuff was not negated for 6-8yrs. IT is why XI has more relevant endgame then any mmo ever made (Pre abysea that is).
ARR the devs have stated they are using the WoW model of gear treadmill. So all the endgame content now, will not be endgame later. Expansion 1 will not be endgame at expansion 2. And so on. So Jeronlmo is right in both his statements in his post. It does not matter if we wait 4yrs in XIV:ARR unless the devs change the model we will always have a lack of content in terms of Relevant (events that drop BIS gear) content.
I literally spent 20,000+ hrs over my course of playing XI in endgame and never ran out of content. This in XIV is impossible with the design, there was no exaggeration in his post. XIV will always have less content by design.
to be completely fair af + is the best gear in game and who wants a face roll to get gear and unlike other mmo's where the gear comes and goes every 10 minutes your gear is actually worth something on this game.........the way they have it makes it fair for those that are casual players......also the af gear that you got during the story is to easy in my eyes and should be made more difficult
This is common practice for SE to make you work for months on a single item or a set of gear. It took me 4 months to build a relic weapon in FFXI only to have it obsolete by SE introducing new weapons in an expansion. I was ok w/ that because I had felt I accomplished something other players either didn't or even attempt. For me its what makes the game fun and keeps me logging in everyday.
Saying this is acceptable is wrong.
I would much rather grind my face off and put my money to use(And play the class I want) rather than have them make me pay to progress through content that is available.
Right now people are at the point of " well I can't progress anymore this week so let me level a class that I'm not gonna be able to use at endgame because I have already invested in another class." or
" Let me level this class because there is nothing else better to do."
Relic was difficult to obtain Coil is difficult to finish(Up to turn 4/5 because the entire playerbase is at a stat wall)
+1 required me twiddling me thumbs for 3 weeks.
Lone wolf (Wanna be) Samurai, Mekai.
It is crappy that AF2 and Relic +1 were reduced to weekly grind items... I was expecting a sweet quest for them, but nope, its just grind out a dungeon for 3 weeks - Relic +1!No. No, no, no, no, no. Just allow players to bypass the cap depending on the % of mobs cleared (this bonus wont amount to too much maybe an extra 10) then add another bonus if a person in party is new (this bonus would be around 20 for each member that is new to the dungeon) and then finally add in a bonus where you 100% clear trash mobs and the dungeon in a allotted time (This bonus would be about 15).
Note: the reason my proposal has a higher reward for newer players is because AK is required for a GC weapon which is needed to get people started on their way to Hard Mode Primals so getting other players started on their way to end game should be incentive-ized not to mention WP already has incentives for repetition in regards towards a person's gil needs/relic weapon quest.
This lets people bypass the weekly cap and rewards a modicum of skilled play to clear the dungeon within the Target Time and incentivizes the inclusion of newer players.

That isn't really necessary. What you should do instead is allow Tomes be obtained by other means. For example, when PvP is released have a daily or weekly quest that grants Tomes, or allow PvP points to be exchanged for Tomes (bearing in mind weekly cap). You should encourage players to feel rewarded for trying out multiple content, not just "reducing the hassle"
This is the core problem. Putting the best gear in the game as a reward for grinding an ilevel50-55 dungeon wasn't the best idea to come from the design team.No. No, no, no, no, no.
