    Everything else is definitely not real time. It's really easy to notice when casting spells because the casting bar is highly unreliable because of latency. Often you get interrupted for no reason because the server thinks you stopped moving after you started casting, the bar shows the wrong spell being cast or just completely miscalculates the length of the cast. It's pretty horrible.

    This is all due to the same problems with how the data is being handled and not adjusting for the delay or improving how to translate the data into a workable result. This problem is an umbrella over the game that will destroy endgame before it starts and kill an otherwise fun game. People need to stop saying it is lag, handling data 3 times a second is far too slow and compiling that with any other form of latency makes for an unplayable game. Even solid connections to local servers are affected by this and it is cross-linked in other ways to server loads and duty finder loads but could be adjusted for and simply is not.

    Here we go again.

    In most cases it isn't your ISP.
    You can check it by tracing 184.107.107.176 or check recourse monitor and your latency.

    Here is why you lag,the server checks every 0.3 second where you are so basically you got standard 300ms.
    Now since you are from Europe you get another 100 to 200 ms on top of it.
    You're basically playing with about 450 ms.

    Next to that the data centre is over loaded, you had your error 1017 and the duty finder servers are capped as well.
    Which means that you can encounter lag spikes because of the server.

    The reason you don't have the issue in other games out side of Europe is because they check your position differently.
    Which means you don't play with an extra 300 ms.

    Now a side not every game has latency, it is normal.
    Take WOW me and my gf have 18 ms but still when I jump she sees it a second later on her screen.
    The difference is that it's masked in such a way that we all experience it as instant, it's just coded in that way.

    i think this is a bug that just needs to be fixed.

    I don't want to cycle through all pages of the post, but the solution to this is to learn the encounter and premove. Titan is a scripted fight, and always has the same pattern. You just need to learn the pattern, see where your group members are, and visualize a safe spot, and move there when Weight is about to happen.

    I have the same issue, really really bad, but I've learned to navigate through it. Think of it like Dragon Ball Z training, in the gravity room. Once the issues are fixed, you're going to be a god at getting out of stuff.

    This is the broken = hard mode argument, and while I have raided broken things before with much success, it is not a legitimate way to increase an encounters difficulty; This reminds me of being a very young programmer and trying to use the computer's latency by adding more lines of junk code to stall time, this seems just as lazy to me when it is a problem that can be fixed to the satisfaction of most everyone and has been fixed on other games.

    I have to agree, with my free month ending soon - I am not sure if I will bother to sub up. This game could have been so much more but instead just fails at the basics of all mmo's. Even if Titan is scripted, running before he casts landslide/plumes still does not work at times. I have watched a friend play with the same issues and dies on every attempt. I can safely tell you he ran way before the cast, the plume landed a yalm or two behind him - he keeps running and it hits him and kills it.

    The silence of any and all bug fixes / balancing (*cough WAR cough*) just makes me sad. If they plan on doing that in patch 2.1, its a little too late for me personally. Waiting for 2 months for the game to somewhat get better is just a no go for me.

    The only way i found to combat this is learn the boss mechanic to the point you can predict the aoe. In ifrit hard mode, AK you can learn which ability it will use next and react accordingly.
    Also if you have instant ability or are DD you can keep strafing which seems to greatly improve your chance to evade the attack in time. I had to use this strategy for Dzeamal boss

    Titan's AOE's Spawn randomly, ifrit's spawn in a set pattern, hence why I'm getting screwed over by titan, not ifrit.

    Also I'm a healer, I have to stand still and heal.

    Well this is going to be my last post on the matter.

    I've endured this absolute bullshit for a hundred or so levels across several classes, joined a guild, met a bunch of people I like and have enjoyed clearing content with them, I even managed to make it to titan hard mode. And I'm now being replaced in their parties because I literally cannot stay alive because your game is an absolute cluster-fuck of latency issues. So all the gearing up, relic weapon questing, downing other bosses, even joining a guild and making friends to begin with was all a complete waste of fucking time and energy.

    Your game is riddled with both technical and balance issues and missing some of the most basic mmo features, yet you've given us absolutely no fixes, or even an eta on a fix. Your "Accepted Bugs" forum is full to bursting, yet the "Confirmed/Planning to Address" forums are empty. Your busy announcing all the flashy new content for patch 2.1, but we hear nothing about fixes for 2.0. I've seen cheap Korean f2p mmo's that are capable of letting their customers know they're fixing something, and have a patch out within days, I've also seen some very low budget mmo's with separate US and European servers. Yet I'm expected to believe that a multi-million dollar company, working on a several million dollar project is incapable of providing bug fixes to critical issues within a reasonable period of time, and is incapable of providing customers in Europe, with servers in Europe?

    No, sorry I don't buy it anymore, I quit, I'm done, I'll go back to WoW, maybe check out Wildstar but your sorry excuse for a company will not see a god-damn penny of subscription money from me, and I will urge others to avoid this game at every opportunity.
