Scholar as healer??

Sch quest is about, Healing, Dmg mitigation, Bluff and Debluff and DD when needed.

A lot of depends on PT setups. If your PT got Blm that knows how to sleep mobs, Tank that does not behave like a wet Tofu, go crazy with Cleric Stance, DoTs and stuff.

I do agree some discriptions could be clearer but judging by the very first mission and pretty much every step off it told me it was all about healing.

Actually... SCH is more about dmg imitigation then healing. Prevent dmg from overshooting the limit which you or your fairy can handle. I been leaving my PT tank at under 60% at times because I crit on succor or aq, the imitigating factor is there and I roused my fairy, I hit cleric stance, DoT and bane. FREE DEBLUFFS FOR EVERYBODY!

Never underestimate stoneskin + AQ. It frees you up to do dmg.

But it does explain its about suport, while every dps class mission is pretty much all about killing stuff asap. So it really shouldnt have been a big suprise to anyone that sch is a healer/support.
I DO agree they could have been cleared, but thats more in the tooltip department.

Which is why I assumed the Scholar job was DPS, seeing that the Level 30 for it is Arcanist, not Conjurer

So despite the primary subclass being healer, gaining a healing pet and your role icon turning from red to green, you still thought you were DPS? The class/job quests introduce and teach you about your role, you should have paid more attention to them, especially the level 30 Arcanist>Scholar quest.
