GW: How much will it cost?
Yoshida; I can’t say it yet.
GW: What!? It’s still a secret?
Yoshida: It’s a secret (laugh). Right now we’re short on gil and planning to increase, so if I say it now it will cause major confusion, so up until the release I am not going to give out the price.
GW: I kind of think it would be good if you give some type of idea of the price so the those members in Free Company has something to aim for, but honestly, right now we can’t make any money in the game.
Yoshida: Yes, and I apologize for that, we’ll make it where you can start saving up. If I announce the price when we’re taking out too much, it’s going to cause a problem even before the price being high or low. So please wait for this information till right before the release.

Why no income?you can sell items you know.then you have all the income you need and more
*bam* Hadnut
The Gilincome is going to 0, what you mean is the Giltrading for Items at the Market.
But thx to the taxes the Money on the Server´s decrease slowly but steady.
We cannot make much money out of nothing like sell to an NPC or daily quest.
Actually, if you wanted, you could get an incredible amount of gil. There's an ARM leve in Limsa which gives 1000 gil per turn-in, triple for HQ, and can be turned in 3 times per allowance. That's 54,000 gil into the economy per person per day. If you wanted ones which require much less individual effort, there are several LTW leves which turn in 3 times and often return the skins used to craft the target item. Those are only around 21,600 gil per person per day, but it's fairly easy to do. The only thing keeping people from abusing the hell out of leves like that is the insane abundance of gil everywhere else. The projected deflation has not occurred. Prices which should be falling due to oversupply and competition are bolstered by the legions of people hanging out with 2 million gil and nothing to do with it. ilvl70 armor sets cost 2-3 million gil per set to make based on Coke/Fat/Peacock prices. I'd imagine that practice is also pushed swiftly along by the gil sellers, who have quite an operation going as the near sole suppliers of crystals at this point. MB on Coeurl was down to the last 580 or so wind crystals, and 500 of them were from a gil seller (Andyu -- retainer who sells nothing but shards and crystals in stacks of 500 and 1000 and has a constant supply... doesn't even pretend to be legit).
