What is housing for exactly?

I have seen the videos during live letter about housing that some FC can buy but I am still unsure what the purpose is... Is it only for the FC to have a place to gather?

If yes, is it worth putting loads of gils in it when you could define any place as your HQ?

I hope we can get more information soon because I still have no clue if housing will change anything.

i remember watching the stream of someone who did a breakdown of what housing does after the initial interview. i recall smth along the line of bonuses to crafting etc, and i also recall him mentioning that breeding seems to be possible if you purchase your own house.

as for the non-practical aspects of merely gathering everyone - this is an mmo, whose objective is immersion. maybe with so many free mmo out there, its essence has been diminished, but my experiences frm ffxi tells me that the mere act of gathering tgt is heaps fun.

Housing is a customizable Inn room. Probably will give bonuses and extra storage based on items you have inside.

That and I remember I saw somehwere saying about breeding chocobo require you have a housing. So yeah. But I'd assume its not for FC, but your own house though.

housing will change EVERYTHING! buy a house, and you can instantly clear any dungeon with the push of a button! you can oneshot everybody in PvP! you can... have the game make toast for you!oh wait, it can't do those things. What are you expecting housing to change, exactly? Maybe you should tell us what you would want from it. Company housing is more or less a gathering place for your guild. We have heard a few things about it, like you can sell things from it, access your chest there, hang out, its you/your company's personal space. We'll apparently be able to build other things in the future, not just houses.

It bugs me when people seem to expect that every new feature must advance their killing ability in endgame or something. Not saying that's you (I don't think it is) but I see a lot of this sort of "how does it help me win?" stuff. Can't we have some 'for fun" features too?
