Possibly, because everyone is experiencing the delay (not ping, but how frequently the server updates), it might be a level battle field. There will be some actions you can't dodge and others that you can. Of course, circle-strafing will probably become the norm and mages will be uber-mad.

I'm not calling anyone wow-kiddies, so neither side should take this as that but the problem is that people come from combat, in so many games where the entire fight, once you know it, is darn-near macroable. People see that they need to memorize Titan and challenge accepted, they do! Others realize what this combat is supposed to be and what the red zones and other dangerous looking zones are supposed to mean (IE, if you're not in them, you're safe), and are rightfully upset that we're supposed to go back to the same old scripted fights.

This is not WoW. There will be no circle strafing in PVP. Your character will *always* turn automatically to face the character even if they're behind you.

Anyone who has pvp'd for more than a few minutes in any other mmorpg before knows that this lag will be a severe impediment to any class that relies on an interrupt.

You don't turn to face them to move while you're casting. I mean, of course you face them when you cast, but if they run around to your back, you don't turn to them, do you?

We're not talking about ping, we're talking about how frequently the server updates your positioning, and if both people are experiencing that, it might cancel each other out.

Unfortunately, not all people live near servers.

No, you don't. In fact, at least with certain control setups, you can't turn AT ALL while casting. This makes casting with poor positioning checks exceptionally awful. If you aren't properly squared to your target (or if your target moves even slightly too far to the left or right of center) then the spell will fail. And that's assuming you were firmly planted -- if you run, stop, and immediately cast there's an odds-on chance that the cast will "interrupt" a half-second in because the last time the server bothered to check where you were, you were in a different position, so it thinks you're still moving and cancels the cast.

If you use a controller, I believe you can use the lock on feature to avoid this.

Position is the only a small amount of the netcode. There is a delay in many other aspects of the netcode. Some paladins have a very difficult time interrupting Ifrit HM because of this. Interruptions in PVP with these types of MMORPGs come down to the millisecond. There is no chance a Paladin will be able to keep up with any healer that is baiting an interrupt as they can cast, cancel, and recast within milliseconds. Even with WoW's near flawless netcode interrupting someone who baits well comes down to crossing your fingers and hoping the server reads your actions at the right time.
