I agree that it shouldn't be solely up to the WHM. Both the rezzer and the rezzed need to know what's coming next, so that the person getting raised doesn't "Accept" right before the next big AoE, but the timer to accept doesn't run out before the big attacks are gone.
As someone else has said, just run away from the main group, throw out the rez and then run back to where you were. 9/10 they'll rez free from any harm and you can get on with it.

I think it would be fair to at least be able to affect them with spells.
If they can take dmg - they should be able to take heals as well. That to me is just logic - I understand the tacticality of the limitations to the spell, and the movement restriction to me seems to give that - they will be stuck in place for a few seconds - but at least let me heal them if they are able to take dmg.
In my oppinion that would provide for a good balance - first and foremost because healing a newly-rezzed still takes away from keeping tank/raid a live so it doesnt come without a cost - and it gives a chance to save someone from some abilities, not all - if he is rezzed in the middle of a landslide, it doesnt matter.

Except Scholars can rez in combat... without wasting a Passive to be able to do so.
The only change to the battle rez I want is for us to be able to heal them when they're rezzing, 'cause I hate seeing them at like 400 Health, and an AoE spawn under them and having them targeted but being unable to heal them, and watching them take that damage mid animation.

This, if they don't change the delay it wouldn't be too powerful to be able to buff and heal them while being locked into the animation.Except Scholars can rez in combat... without wasting a Passive to be able to do so.

Might be a programming issue..same issue that you can't do anything while being on a mount..

its so unlikely that the battle will continue after a raise that i'd rather just respawn and run back and teach people not to stand in the red.

there is a way to rez someone with out the debuf of weakness and to grant more hp. though it takes specific timing and as far as i know it can only be dont by CNJ/WHM. Once rezed and the target is going through the levitation animation, time Medica 2 when the rez completes and instead of having weakness, the target will gain a small amount of hp but more importantly have regen effect.
i have seen this done a few times but the effect must have specific timing so im not sure how this will play out in hard battles.

I don't mind the delay on principal, but it makes timing an inbound cure/refresh combo difficult and does occasionally lead to people getting re-one-shotted.
And yes, that's funny, but only to a point. If I'm raising somebody, I probably want them on their feet. (I'll probably leave them dead if they aren't worth the MP.) Technically the raise-ee can affect this a bit by not insta-clicking Accept Raise; they can lie dead with the Raise status ready until the fight's moved away.
... of course, if people had that kind of battlefield awareness, they likely wouldn't be dead, right?
