This stuff only comes out in November. Please tell me how they are going to keep players playing this game during October. They need more end game content otherwise they will lose the raiders who are the people that want to play this game for the long term. Watch more progression websites instead of pointing the finger at me.

    Easy to complete?

    Seriously though...
    We're a serious end-game raiding Free Company and gearing up other classes and trying to burn through the coil is our plan, then once we have most of the coil's patterns down we'll farm the gear from it until we have our main and secondary jobs geared with Alagan ready for the new content in Late October/Late November.


    The one thing we definitely have and most Legacy Players (and non legacy too) have shown in FFXIV, is patience.

    BUCKETS of patience. We don't need everything to be a long-grind or new content to be served on a weekly basis. There's a reason we're paying monthly.

    Even the raiders from other games are showing this simple degree of patience, they did it in WoW, TERA, SWKOTR.


    Get back to us when they've all finished the Binding Coil and are sitting twiddling their thumbs in Ul'dah.

    You know...I always find it funny when people bring this up - "So about that 0.1% of content in this game after you've easily cleared 99.9% of the game that's supposed to keep you busy.." That's never a good sign for an MMORPG, especially a relaunched one which already had a lot of end-game content they simply re-purposed instead of expanding on.

    For example, we had Ifrit, Garuda and the moogles for primals in 1.0, why is Moogles coming in an update instead of say, Leviathan? They had to remake certain stuff due to the battle system change, that is true, but when you look at the patch updates, the "keep us busy" content is pretty much just new versions of dungeons, rereleasing old content (Moogles) and releasing content pushed back from launch (Crystal Tower.)

    The job quests is new content? I remember the same storylines in 1.23 or around there. The primal fights? Yeah that is not new. Lets see the adding of the Moogle... right that was done before the realm was reborn.

    I couldn't disagree more. Player housing and cool furnishings are one of the most loved aspects of many MMOs. I loved making an awesome, unique evil mansion in EQ2 and having a fun, cozy, well-decorated Mog House in FFXI. It gives a great sense of investment, immersion, and individuality.

    Plus, housing items can be great for the game economy, a boon for crafters, and it can even make dungeons and raids more worthwhile too.

    Who doesn't want to proudly display their hard-earned, valuable, gorgeous raid spoils in their home?? Raid-dropped housing items would make for perfect synergy in FFXIV.

    Because the same team that designs fluff items, is the same team that designs soul-crushing dungeon mechanics, right?
