I am not being entitled I just simply think it is wrong to charge fellow players for something that takes little time to help with. I myself do not do it but I guess to each their own.
nothing is wrong with the game, nor is there anything wrong with just playing the game with your friends or to make game money...
just because they choose not to spend time playing games with random strangers for no personal gain doesnt make them bad gamers
seriously, back off the entitlement - random strangers dont owe other random strangers ANYTHING in a game, including their time...
is it cool if random strangers DO help out other random strangers? of course
but it certainly is FINE if they choose not to as well
This^ Entitlement mentalities can go die in a fire, a hot, circular eruption of Ifrit Hard Mode fire.

It's wonderful that there are rare drop items that sell for a lot on the market boards. Most sellable stuff in the game is too easy to get, which makes the game economy boring.
It's a shame that such vocal people want gil to be worthless/pointless as a "solution" to RMT. Exterminating RMT is important, but we can't react to it in a way that ruins a big part of the game.

You're missing two hard modes for existing dungeons and PvP. And as far as the latest update, not one group has finished clearing the fifth run of Coil, and not many people are even to Coil.
I present to you this chart as well:
Not that many people at lvl 50, huh.

Interesting chart, curious as to where it originated from. Is it fan made by just using lodestone information or is it from SE themselves? Would be curious as to class distribution too. I seriously hope they do censuses for XIV like they did for XI, loved going through the stuff in them as was very interesting to see the trends of players and where oneself fit into the big picture.

They did a census for XIV at TGS. I'll plop the charts down here:Interesting chart, curious as to where it originated from. Thank you kindly. Good to see they are doing censuses, and I hope they keep doing them. Hopefully the first big one has more details than this one, but cool to see how things are breaking out this early in the games life.

For the first point. I point you towards this persons post.

Second point everyone needs a level 15 in order to unlock a job.
Third point is this is a marketing tactic in order to try and draw in people to buying the game and then I refer you back to point number one. It's funny to show stats before the free month is up don't you think so?
EDIT MAX POST limit:
I would of had a level 50(Multiple jobs) character if sadly they did not lose my v1.0 Elezen which they did and have no way to recover it so please keep typing away at your hearts content as this discussion is over.So you pick out one random person's opinion and apply it to SE's vision for the future?
Why is it funny? It's just info as to the current demographics. I think you may want to loosen the tinfoil hat.
How about hitting 50 yourself, and forming your own opinion instead of relying on others to tell you how you should feel.
Here is some proof for you.

The spike at 15 was rather expected due to the job unlocks in an all class inclusive data chart. Though for number of players with a 50, that chart can be a little misleading due to it being inclusive of all classes as there are 19?(might be off as not sure on number of crafting ones offhand) classes currently, and the lower ones are going to be inflated due to people experimenting. For the first point. And the biggest point that post you linked had is what is there for player retention once done with the story. This is what I am curious about the most, though it looks like they have plans for this already with housing (which caused this thread to start in the first place) and they have additional content planned too. Even with a class at 50, I still have plenty of things I want to do currently in game. So long as the focus on releasing quality content, instead of content just to feed the content locusts I'll be happy.
