You act as if the gil sellers aren't part of this equation at all. You act as if these are simply bored players with some tech savvy to create a bot. Look at almost any game in the MMO space and you'll find most of these bots are created for the sole purpose of gil farming. Not as you say due to boredom of legit players.

and i already said that the MAJORITY of players WILL NOT BOT if they find the tasks to be FUN (you know, kinda like YOU and ME and some OTHERS in this thead DONT BOT because we ENJOY the tasks) - and once the MAJORITY of players are NOT botting because the tasks were made to be FUN for the MAJORITY, its MUCH EASIER to git rid of the MINORITY that are botting....

i even read what you post - you said players bot even when its fun NOT to bot, you said you find the game fun, so are you botting?

Do I have to spell out to you what I am saying? People will bot no matter what, because they want to get free gil while being afk. I never said I find gathering fun, relaxing at times maybe, but not fun. People bot in every mmo, and it will not change. The only way to stop them is to constantly ban them. End of story.

Anyways to compare using software to automate your way to collect resources and sell them to catching a cold is absurd. I agree with the other poster if you find it boring, then don't participate, next I'm sure you'll logically argue that people who Bot FATES and Xp find the game boring thus making it perfectly fine to Bot.

IDK, If you think more than a meaningless handful people will stop botting if something becomes more "fun" you're rather naive. Most of them don't bot cause of lack of entertainment value, they bot cause its easier and allows you to wrack up mindless gil while AFK, working, or something else. Most of those bots are likely RMT Anyway and i can guarantee you they have no interest in the act of mining fun or otherwise.

Plus there's only so many ways to make Swinging a pickaxe at a Point for an item fun. I mean, You got any ideas? Cause I can't think of sh*t to make Mining "fun". I mean by mining itself is just a sh*tty job to have IRL or in a game. I mean, Even Minecraft gets boring after a while. So unless anyones going to start spitballing ideas to make swinging a pickaxe against a rock surface fun I say stop saying they need to make it fun.

Nothing sillier than assuming your personal opinions translate to some majority. Where exactly are you getting this information the the "majority" of legitimate players are botting gathering? I personally don't know anyone who is botting. So, explain your statement. I'm guessing it has something to do with things you pull out of your ass.
