The first day Plane of Fear opened up there was no level limit to the zone and right at the entrance was mobs that could shred you right as you zone in. The pile of bodies was so bad the GM's closed off the zone and actually helped get the bodies out. Raids would form outside the portal and when it was time the tanks would zone in before the healers and you prayed the tanks got there first and did not DC. It was not instanced so your guild had to sign up for certain days and hope that the non english speaking guild did not clean out the zone before hand and no LAG? Really? back in the day of 56k? No lag? Take those damn goggles off please.
I will forgive all lack of end-game content if they make BC 100 Turns and CT 100 Floors. And I want villages, multiple zones, different designs, biosphere, animals and monsters, on every floor!
...oops sorry, wrong game. orz
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
― Ernest Hemingway
If people are willing to cap out there mythos (which is 300 atm from what people tell me), and from what people have told me it takes a long time to get 1 full set. I'm sure quite a few people will go through all that, but I'll wait for Crystal Tower, probably has better looking gear anyways :P.
Hmm I see this thread has died out, was actually not meaning to revive it, but want to leave few notes here.
To the people saying that Crystal Tower will be "dead on arrival", I agree with you on terms of endgame gear progression, IF it will drop only Lv 80 gear and then IF those players are wearing full Lv 90 gear and have done Bahamut's Coil, THEN it is dead on arrival for those few select players.
But you are forgetting two major things:
1) It will drop Lv 80 gear which you can spiritbind and make Materia from.
2) It will most likely drop something like Mythology stones.
So I foresee even the uber top geared players still doing Crystal Tower.
