Are we really supposed to grind fates to 50 on sub-classes? No more quests? Alts?

Hunting Log to 10 mixed with levequests. Add in guildhests after 10. Add dungeons after 15. Mix it up and have fun until daily quests are added in. Why do you think you need to spam fates all the time? You don't.

Just curious, as a DPS what do you do during those 90 minute queues people have being reporting, assuming your sole focus is levelling your battle class(es)? Leves are limited, and once exhausted if you avoid FATEs leaves you with simple mob grinding. You definitely are not wrong that there is plenty to do, but some roles are definitely more gated to other content than others.

I'm taking a second and 3rd character up with just the story, dungeons, guildhests and not doing any of the sidequests. One of those characters is an archer. I have pugged that archer up to the ifrit fight and done the first 3 dungeon anywhere from 2 to 4 times each (in the last 4 days). Sure there are sometimes 20 or so minutes when I don't have a party but I check all languages, not just english and the option to join a dungeon already in progress. First time through Tam Tara I got in just as they were fighting the last boss. Cha-ching! I've been through Tam Tara 4 times now though so it's not like I couldn't get it mapped out

I am also *not* rushing to 50 on any of my characters. I have no problems doing other things while waiting for a dungeon/guildhest spot. Like the hunting log, farming materials, occasional fates if they pop up on me, working the other combat jobs my archer wants to level, etc.

You don't have to mindlessly zerge Fates none stop. It is really boring after awhile, and to me it isn't even that fast since you have to compete to get reward and with popular area you will get very little or nothing to no reward because it end so fast.

What you do is get a group of Friends together, or join a large FC and just repeat the Dungeon a few time with 3% Foods and Chain the Mob in the Dungeon for some really sweet exp. DPS don't have to be fantastic, but it does help if you have Blackmage and Bard with some decent gears.

You rack up some nice exp and level up in no times, and by the time you done with that Dungeon you get your whole gear set and ready for the next one.

I re-run dungeons with trash gear equipped for trash mobs, Bonus, You get XP and Materia to sell for moneys.
