
Second Wind uses attack power instead of mind in it's potency formula. It is slightly boosted by Convo and majorly boosted by berserk. You test this in game.

Second Wind is on a 2 minute cooldown.
Convalesence and Defiance's healing recieved buff doesn't affect Second Wind.
In order for Second Wind to restore 21-31% of your max health, Defiance needs to be turned off to reduce your max HP, Berserk needs to be up, it needs to crit, and you need to be wearing strength accessories.

Berserk, Maim, Storm's Eye, Unchained, and yeah... STR. We are talking about WAR tanks and not shit tanks right? The "heal yourself with convalescence up" was in reference to his first post about it being situational... I can understand being ignorant about pure damage modifiers, but howd you come up with the logic that a slashing resistance debuff on the enemy would improve Second Wind?

You're right, was thinking about inner beast in another forum discussion. Second Wind's stats are modified through Attack Power (aka STR) leaving berserk and crit values the only modifying values. Even without this hitting 21% without a crit is easy (About 1350 on a 6400 tank), and the 32% heal on crit still makes this ability far more useful than Mantra or Awareness for a main tank.Maim, Storm's Eye, and Unchained(subsequently, Defiance's damage modifier) does not affect Second Wind.

2.) ~1 ATK = ~1 heal from Second Wind. In order for Second Wind to heal for 1350 without critting, you would need over 1.2k attack during Berserk up. In order to get over 1.2k attack, your strength would need to be over 800. Even if you were 100% decked out in ilvl 90 gear, your strength wouldn't even break 600.

2 AP - 1 STR, 1350 AP = 675 STR there son, and we're not factoring in the 50% AP addition from berserk. So let's say you're another fail VIT tank with the standard fare 300 STR:
300 STR = 600AP * 1.5 Berserk = 900- again taking no other stat modifying ability into play.

But don't you *dare* use bullshit math to incorrectly prove your point and call me a liar while pulling numbers from out of your ass. 1200 AP is easy for a warrior, and if you're struggling it's not because the math is wrong it's because the way you're building your warrior is.
