Do I really need to keep going?
He's talking about the core gameplay and progression model made standard by WoW.

That would be like calling a Ferrari a Ford, simply because Model-T's were the first, and thinking that someone who likes a Ferrari is going to enjoy a Model-T. No, the fan of the Ferrari is going to be quite disappointed when you roll out the old cranker and tell him that your comparison was based on a subjective far-removed principle. Come on. FFXIV:ARR is fun, different, and to be honest, a breath of fresh air from the wow clones. It's got something going for it.

Fun fact: World of Warcraft was the first commercially successful mass produced MMO, much like the Model-T Ford. Fun fact: World of Warcraft was not, however, the first MMORPG - so my comparison (which had nothing to do with the first car) stands correct.

If you're going to put on the Pedantic Hat™, be sure that the bill is facing forward.

Anyway - I'm glad that this game is far more refreshing than the overdiscussed WoW, with new things to offer. I'm having a great time in Eorzea and look forward to seeing player housing and vanity armor (which WoW also doesn't have ')

Then please use the correct wording because again you said first car not first massively assembled car its bad enough people think this when the information is incorrect as to oppose of correct information.

Also I know it wasn't the first MMO I've been playing MMOMs since I was 16-17 years old and it was called Nexus The Kingdom of Wind Which came out before WoW and is one of the first MMOs ever

No it isn't, that suggests that the WoW core gameplay is defining of the genre and it is not. I have played many mmos and a number of which felt distinctly not like WoW but this most certainly does. I don't hate WoW but this is definitely modeled after it (especially apparent when you consider Yoshi P's comments about WoW when developing 2.0).
