When you login, you zone into your inn room. You then must zone out of your inn room into a very long load time due to hundreds of people standing around. And THEN you can teleport to wherever you want. Why can't I just use teleport/return from inside the inn room, instead of having to zone out of the inn room, into a heavily-populated area, to be able to go to where you want to go.

#3 This tells me you've put little to no effort yourself into addressing any of your concerns. If you already have to remap keys because you're left handed... why are you complaining about the default setting???
You didn't read clear enough to understand it...uh, clearly. When you're old and crusty, you tend to do what you're used to doing and changing something to do the exact same thing doesn't come easy. Pressing "R" is not allowed. It must be a two-key press. That is the concern.
#4 Zoning doesn't feel excessive,at least to me and load times are very short... perhaps your computer needs some help?
Maybe to you. Maybe it's your server, less pop in certain areas? I don't know. In our cities on our server, multiple zoning gets old fast.

#9 This has more to do with the community, tanks are having to wait too... with the reserving instance issue we sit just as long as dps do.
Actually, I've sat here in a 3-hour period and watched the group numbers in DF while waiting for HM Garuda. 4/4 DPS the entire time, and every 5-10 minutes a healer or tank will add to the list, then a minute or two later they drop back to zero. It does this repeatedly, over and over for an hour or so, until finally we get lucky enough that TWO tanks and TWO healers get into our group all in the same 10 minute period, and THEN we get "Reserving Instance", and wait. I don't think you're seeing the same thing I'm seeing, or understanding it. But it's pretty clear what's going on. While our group is still waiting to fill up before an instance gets reserved for us, a tank or healer will get added to it, then they get added to another group that's nearly full, too, and dropped from ours.

Also, I think the retainer is to solve the problem of having to stay online to sell stuff, and I prefer it that way.
I only know of one other game that you had to "stay online" to sell stuff. MMO's have come a long way, but even with that given, most games don't require you to stay online to auction things, nor have to do it through a 3rd party NPC.

Well it is just a game play interaction representation. The game could just as easily put your stuff on the board directly without showing a retainer, but then where would the money go? Magically into your pocket wherever you are? That doesn't make sense from an in-world perspective at all. It only makes sense if you are doing the selling directly, or standing by the board or whatever(which would require you to stay online). The addition of the NPC solves the world consistency problem, plus gives some nice perks of extra storage space. I guess I still don't understand. What am I missing? What could they do that wouldn't break world consistency without adding something like the NPC?

You must not have looked very far. A quick google search of "ffxiv reply to tell" shows me numerous articles explaining how, more than two weeks old.

As for the rest of the complaints.. the only one that grinds my gears is a lack of repeatable sidequests.

No leeching, No PL'ing, just 100% playing the game.

As a tank I apologize for the dickheads that try and force you to do what you don't want to do just so you can clear the dungeon. I only use the tanking powers bestowed upon me by my paladin fore fathers for the good of the group. I don't care about loot as a paladin and I just want to make sure the healer I'm with gets it done, so I'll do my job with no complaints. The sad thing is I've had to pull the whole, we'll just leave the instance and you will be fucked on a number of bumbling chucklefuck damage dealers. Thankfully they all chose to cooperate in the end.

so you're wanting it to be exactly like 1.0 on the zones. GOD awful COPY PASTA pile of crappy mess. And the Retainers aren't just your sellers they are the ones who hold extra stuff for you. If you have two retainers you can sell 40 different items total.. now lets see to put to reference FFXI which i played for 5 years before playing 1.0 and 2.0 of this game. there was an ah that only allowed you 7-8 items of your choice to sell then you HAD to stay online if you were selling stuff in your bazaar. same goes for other mmo's i've played and have seen other's playing. (IE: Knights, Nexus...). Hmm chocobo issue. I don't have one since I don't try to pull my chocobo out while in DF

Aoe Spells... yeah that's the players choice to use them not SE's they just gave them to them.. I'm sorry you feel that it kills your experience in the game... I hope that none of those aoe attacks saved you because with that even if they do aoe it means less damage that some people have to take.

the loot it used to be 10 gil -100 it's called they wanted to put more value to the gil because there were other players before you started. I'm sorry

Also I don't mind about the whole not able to teleport out of the inn. And yes I'm on a Legacy HIGHLY populated server and leaving the inn doesn't bother me one bit.

btw this is what Gridania's Cluster F*** USED to be like for the Black shroud

Plenty of things to complain about for this game, but from your list I only agree with 1 and 8. The rest are just stupid whining. Like you had only 1 or 2 things to whine about but wanted to make a list of 10 so had to round it out with a bunch of crybaby crap. Retainers have their advantages and disadvatanges...You can actually keybind reply if you wanted, but you'd rather whine...etc. AOE on fates...you can join a group. Side quests shouldn't be repeatable...bleh. What a rubbish list.

Which to some, it might look impressive at first, can't forget that it was all bunch of copy pasted tiny blocks. Had a bit more awe when thought could explore more, until realize 90% of it is same stuff, different mob levels.

People go to auction houses IRL all the time to have their stuff auctioned off, and they collect their item if it doesn't meet the minimum bid or their money if it sold from the same people, minus a cut for their services.

It doesn't have to go to your pocket book directly. It could be mailed or you could simply go back to the market board to collect your gil. I thought of in like 2 seconds, you don't think that extremely business savvy upper echelons of Ul'dah wouldn't have thought of that? Or anyone on the entire freaking continent? You just merge the retainer selling stuff for you into the market board/switch it to an AH and remove the whole step of having to go to the inn room to summons someone to sell something for you.

    Same thing with a bank.

I know I died more than enough just trying to get to jackanapes and went the wrong path... trust me that picture only show how much of a convoluted mess the black shroud was pre ARR with no zones copy pasta and areas with lvl 60 + mobs same goes for la noscea and thanalan
