Is HM Titan even doable via DF?

Is he? It queues you for two tanks, but there really only seems to be a need for one. The second tank seems to just be dead-weight.

It also seems like many groups run with 3 healers (only one SCH). Every time I've queued up for HM Titan, I always seem to get two SCH healers, dooming us to inevitable failure.

I want to get this fight down so that I can finish my relic quest, but just can't seem to find an organized group that doesn't already have a tank. I've been trying in DF, but all of those groups have just been utterly hopeless. I'm just not sure what to do.

Join an FC and finish Titan. You will not get it done via DF.

Yes it is possible, however there is definitely an element of luck in it. If you get PLD/WAR, you can have the WAR add to the DPS. This is as optimal as having an actual DPS in that slot, but it still works. PLD/PLD though doesn't work anywhere near as well unfortunately. Also, it is definitely possible with 2 healers, and to my disbelief, even 2 SCH, although it it probably worth noting I already had my relic and 90% DL gear, and ran with 5 DPS.

If you want a group that has optimal balance, premades are definitely the way to go (if you can find one), but you can definitely DF it, it is just a lucky dip and you'll probably go through quite a few before you actually pull it off. Might be worth noting though that I'm part of a JP DF server list thingo, so the 'attitude' towards HM Titan might be different for EU/NA servers.

One of our FC members just beat Titan HM through a Duty Finder PUG last night. So, it's doable. The question is can you do it consistently? Based on the number of times I've tried, and other FC members have tried no...not reliably with a DF pick up group.

Haha yeah I have no experience on NA/EU servers, which is why I felt it necessary to mention. I've read a lot about the only people heading into HM Titan DF are people that have suboptimal gear and are uncoordinated, and as such was surprised when 99% of players had full DL gear and didn't get knocked off or hit by Weight of the Land when I started pushing it. That said, my first few groups failed horribly, but none the less they were decently geared. :P

On the other hand, DF does give you plenty of practice to dodge and learn patterns, assuming your group manages to make it past phase 1. I'd definitely be looking for a premade in the mean time though, since you can get a more optimal balance and root out the uncoordinated players.
