Deities and Primals...

I'm curious...I never actually played 1.XX, so I want to know if it's possible to summon a deity the same way you summon a primal. I noticed that when prayed to, primals appear...deities function the same way according to the End of an Era trailer. With everybody in Eorzea praying to them, they just decided to appear out of nowhere and give a hand. So, from the assumptions I'm basing off this, I have two questions.

Do you think it'd be possible to fight the deities in the future? Would somebody be crazy and summon one again, like Louisoix did? Also, would a summoner be able to bind the essence of a deity to them and use it like they use the primals? Is such a thing possible?!

During the story you get around to helping out an Ala Mhigan settlement, and one of the quests involves stopping the young Ala Mhigans from summoning Rhalgr, as Lahabrea(the masked man) told them how to do so.

But i doubt that you will get to fight them, as they are the gods of the five player races, so they're on your side.

In theory a summoner should be able to bind their essence just like a primals cause thus far the gods and primals seem to be the same sort of things, exept what alignment they have.

This much I know, but I assumed it was just his attempt to get the crystals back in to the hands of those lizardmen. It's a shame they really didn't summon Rhalgr...he's my character's chosen deity after all!

Well it wasn't Lahabrea's way of trying to get the crystals back in the Amal'jaa's hands as the Ala Mhigans wanted to steal crystals from them so they could summon Rhalgr.

I also wish they had succeeded, as i wanna see what all twelve look like, and same as you, i'd love to se my chosen deity (Byregot)

I really got to stop hitting ENTER a 100 times during the Story Quests. I miss out on so much... story.
