Hint: this game isn't designed for content locusts. The sooner you all realize this, the better. If what you want is a game with a ton of one specific kind of content (i.e. raids) then this is probably the wrong game for you.
Wondering how you came to this conclusion when Yoshida has repeatedly stated he wants to focus on the end-game and that the 3 month content release schedules where to exactly provide such content at a reasonable rate.

Right, but you can only do that so fast. These people who hit
50 in 2 days, get relic weapon on day 3, clear 4 turns of
Bahamut's coil in less than a week. What do you expect?
You can't just flip a light switch on and poof, there's 5,000
    more hours of content.

That's just the reality of it. If you choose to destroy the
current end-game at extremely fast speeds, that's fine. If
that's your playstyle, go for it. But you cannot honestly expect
SE to just pump more and more content in every other
    week.

I don't disagree with you, however there needs to be some responsibility on the development team to release said content with a logical progression plan in place as well. I fear this doesn't appear to be the case with 2.1 or the current end-game content in place. Jumping back and forth between Crystal town and Coil content seems like a plan to do nothing but create more redundant content rather than a creating a logical path of progression which is required for a healthy MMO endgame.

Yes, we can't expect them to do that.

However, we should be expecting content that's varied and somewhat challenging. The reason why even semi-casual players are running out of things to do is because of the ubiquitious accessibility of everything that's end-game related.

As of right now, the only gear that's relatively out-of-reach for the majority of the playerbase happens to be Allagan gear. But SE found a "work-around" for this issue.

Can't get Allagan gear? No problem. Just farm AK on a weekly basis, be a bit a patient, and you'll have access to gear with almost exactly similar stat amounts, just different stat itemization.

So, they've already destroyed the next Tier of gear by making bosses in Coil either drop nothing or items that nobody can use (SMN Allagan Hands drop yet there's no SMN in the group. What an utter waste).

In their zeal to make everything accessible to everyone through various means, they've shortened the longevity this game could offer by 75%.

QoL changes, incremental content updates, and other non-vanity-based content (I'm looking at you Swimsuit Event) need to be pumped-out at the scale of GW2.

Yoshida's team has arguably accomplished the first hurdle of producing/creating a good MMO. Now they need to stop looking at themselves as a game company but rather a service-oriented company that should be providing content at bi-weekly pace.

GW2 and ArenaNet have understood this model and it's been successful. Let' see if Yoshida and Co. can adapt to an ever-changing MMO landscape.

    True.

It really just comes down to the impossibility of finding a happy medium for everyone playing. Either content is coming out too fast, or not fast enough, this dungeon is too easy, or too hard, etc. I have yet to play any MMO that is "perfect" in whatever sense you deem that word to be.

I go into MMOs knowing that it's going to take time, there's going to be problems, changes, content issues, etc. Can't tell you how many times I got frustrated with games like WoW, even YEARS after initial launch. There were still content issues that were really an annoyance.

I guess I'm just hoping that people don't jump-the-gun and drop their subs and quit the game before 2 or 3 patches come out because of the current state.
