Yeah, the game needs more varied ways of reliable leveling up. I don't think repeating quests would be a good idea though. It would really harm the game's integrity and overall story feel.tbh I wish There was another way when your leveling your 2nd class/job but since the quests don't appear after you have done them once with your main class your sort of forced to,I hope they re-think this and make the quests appear with each new class/job on same character but with limited gil/rewards.Till then I am taking a step back as the current fate system with zergs and whining players if you kill the main boss to fast just ruins the enjoyment.
What they could do is making interesting repeatable quests - as in more leves and making them more interesting. This system has much potential and could make grinding a much more interesting activity. So much so the name would not fit anymore. Imagine making two leves that force two players to compete against each other. The player that wins gets a bonus to the XP he would normally get. This could fit even with a Triple Triad style card game or Chocobo races. Square has much space to make the system something really awesome.
Another way could be through PVP. There is an arena in Ul'dah, right? You could have PVP matches where the winner has a bonus to the standard XP prize for participating. But it should be varied, not just "go kill the other team". The matches could be inspired by game modes from online shooters. Simple things like "capture the flag", a siege, battles with conflicting objectives, treasure hunt (something like the Survarium PVP idea), competitive PVE, “domination”, chocobo racing, card games.
Heck, I bet there would be even people that would want something like Blitzball.
Square can really spice up the game with dozens of interesting activities that could replce grinding.
...
Too bad the people here prefer mindless grinding like a broken gear, behaving like a MMO junkie and not encouraging Square to implement such things.

I 100% agree. While the game is new, it's lacking stuff we can do on the side. As for EXP. We're still pretty much screwed because FATE's are just to good.
They need to kill a bit of EXP giving by FATE's or just up the EXP in other places....Also dungeons could give us seals or something.
I keep saying they need more like...fun actives like you say: Chocobo Racing, Blitzball, Triple Triad. You get EXP, little doodads and trinkets and it's fun for everyone.
We can confirm the Golden Saucer is going to be here, and then Fort Siege is as well. Just gotta hold out. XD
I don't really mind grinding for cool gear, not to upgrade it, but just to look cool or cute lol. Sometimes you just...don't wanna craft or grind y'know?
Game lacks social activities imo.
Love just random fun mini-games.
Man if they had Blitzball I hope we can watch people and be in this big ol' stadium thing. I hope they give us a swim mini-game. XD

omg... Wouldn't it be awesome if people who FATE grinded X number of times in X number of days/hours (both very high of course) would be hit with a zombie spell that lasted until they did something else like a levequest, craft a few items, or visited a certain npc in their home city. XD The mental image of a zombie Mi'qote or Lalafell moving slowly through town to the the healer's really makes me laugh. ERG... ARG...
