A scholar should never have mana problems.

Scholars have aetherflow, which with your close to 5k mana pools (while in a party, which btw you bring piety bonus to the group), gives you 1k a minute, NOT including your laser (I always forget the name of this), which nets you nearly 300mp a shot, if you don't need your flows for healing/sacred soil.

PS, losing the 30 MIND and putting that into PIETY will almost guaranteed cause you to actually -lose- mana from the lowered efficiency of your heals.

actually it's the most useful materia meld slots for BLM if you already capped your accuracy. You cannot meld int, vit crit because of stat cap. piety = more fire casts

Can you elaborate on that, please? How can you level them separately, if both use the Arcanist's lvl? Or are you suggesting two characters?
