SCH can go out of mana pretty fast you know?

A scholar should never have mana problems.

Scholars have aetherflow, which with your close to 5k mana pools (while in a party, which btw you bring piety bonus to the group), gives you 1k a minute, NOT including your laser (I always forget the name of this), which nets you nearly 300mp a shot, if you don't need your flows for healing/sacred soil.

PS, losing the 30 MIND and putting that into PIETY will almost guaranteed cause you to actually -lose- mana from the lowered efficiency of your heals.

Piety is useless for every single class.

actually it's the most useful materia meld slots for BLM if you already capped your accuracy. You cannot meld int, vit crit because of stat cap. piety = more fire casts

Can you elaborate on that, please? How can you level them separately, if both use the Arcanist's lvl? Or are you suggesting two characters?

by Yoshi P logic a shoe maker would make a better family doctor than a heart surgeon. wouldnt it make more sense that a summoner would make a better scholar (since they come from the same school of study) than a totally different class would? It's likely intended to be this way to facilitate the usage of the 10k seal respec books. Look at this way, perhaps future jobs will be similar to SMN/SCH in the aspect that they'll be different roles (e.g. Monk being the DPS archtype for Pugilist that focuses on STR, while Ninja could be the tank archtype that focuses on DEX) so SE wants the seals to effectively be your respec cost.

Summoners could have a Cleric Stance that merely switches INT and MND without the damage and healing percentage changes. That would simplify the issue for everyone, and would be in line with the mentality of the armory system in the first place. It should be an early level Arcanist skill.

You could call it "Arcane Stance" or maybe "Primal Stance."

For me it'd be great. I often queue for the Duty Finder as a healer for the express purpose of lowering my wait time. Sans this change, I'll have no choice other than to level White Mage. For now that'll be what I do, but it's a shame to have to do with that while still leveling.

Just use the point reset items whenever u want to play the other job. Seals are easy as hell to get now.

Kinda yes and no with this, at 200 a FATE (assuming you want to be productive, leveling a 40+ character), 1 fate every 3 minutes, it takes 2 and a half hours.

If you have a lower character, between 3 and 6 hours.

So yea, its kinda crappy, but its not SO bad that you can't do it say, like every other day.

Certainly too terrible to swap every dungeon, which is why I really also want different stat allocations.

Or, like someone suggested, Scholar Stance for scholars which swaps int with mind.

Or, like I want, to just do away with stats because noone will ever so anything other than their primary stat, or if they do, they are making a mistake.
