Amdapor Keep Changes Unfair

I'd just like to see some benefit for killing mobs. At least in other games there's a chance at gold/items they should do that. Don't tell me trash crafting items count either that's not worth it. Even if they did something like 1-2 tombstones for mobs it'd be fair. Same goes for Castrum. People won't run Praetorium because it's longer and nets you absolutely nothing more than Castrum.

Am I the only one who takes advantage of trash mobs and spiritbond things, of course I wear my good weapon and armor, I just use zircon jewelry, doesn't really hurt my dps, besides I switch in the DL accessories for boss fights. It's decent Gil too.

And since people are going to ask , my weapon is a stardust rod, and my armor is darklight.

Then again I'm one of those players, who didn't step one foot in AK till I at least had a few DL pieces.

So saying trash mobs give nothing is somewhat not 100% true.

I was lucky to have access to speed runs, even then I would only do max 2 a day so I do not get BORED of FFXIV cause I love this game. Now I kinda regret not spamming it harder...Back to the topic though, AK runs are so hard to enjoy atm.
Even though we could clear it between 35-40min it still feels very very long and boring. The amount of trash seriously needs to be reduced by 20%-30% to make the dungeon more manageable.
I don't think any type of reward such as adding lots more chest would make the trash more fun, you guys seriously need to think about reducing the amount of trash.
Also, reducing the time = people get AK done faster = more duty finder server available for AK = we can actually get into AK without waiting 1hr+40min clearing during peak times = people 'happier'.

No they don't give you any benefit to killing even in your scenario. You're better off skipping as many as possible because you'll get more runs in. The amount of time spent killing them takes the same amount but the run does not. Faster runs net you more but there's no advantage to do a full clear because the amount of spiritbond you gain isn't larger if you complete more enemies per run. As it stands there is 0 reason to kill extra mobs unless you just like a larger repair bill.

Am I wrong by saying AK gives 80 tomes of mythology for completion? If not, then why would you sit in a queue for an hour (like many are claiming) when you can farm CM. It is faster, less trash and awards 20 more tomes than AK does...

Because AK awards both types of tomes, and is the best source of tomes of Mythology.

TinyTerror there is a short problem there.
CM gives Tomestones of Philosophy, not Mythology. Only AK and BC give tomestones of Mythology (and AK gives 40, at any rate)

1. SE Has done things to address RMTs. They banned ~1000 accounts and implemented chat filters. No doubt additional counter measures are slated to be released in future updates.

2. Complaining that you are going to quit because you don't have end-game gear within a month of launch is utter rubbish. I fail to see how making end-game content in a MMO take more than a month to complete is "unfair" in any way shape or form. If you want instant gratification, you may be playing the wrong genre of game.

3. Most players don't need full darklight to progress in end-game content (especially DPS). I myself went in this order --> Finished story --> got 1 piece of darklite from farming CM a few times --> Ran Ifrit until I obtained my weapon --> Started running AK.

4. Most players will only need to get ~3 pieces of darklight before it is replaced with better gear, so what is all of this crying about anyways?

80 tomes of PHILOSOPHY, the darklight and relic currency.
40 tomes of MYTHOLOGY, the AF2 and Relic+1 currency.

This is the largest number of Mythology tomes avaiable from any one instance other than Binding Coil. (garuda gives 7, titan gives 10, ifrit gives... some smaller number. Who runs ifrit anyway?)
