Last night the booty finder put me in a group with another monk. I hate the thought of having to roll against another person but I usually just deal with it. He was wearing AF gear, which again I can deal with, if maybe they have a decent weapon. Nope. Peisteskin Cesti. Another guy says "man...I wish you'd update your jewelry." I check him out, he had a level 15 necklace. 15. Of course he didn't know the fight either and expected everyone to just explain it to him. How can people think this is acceptable?!

What's wrong with having to explain a fight? What's wrong with someone being new? You were new once, too.

The other nonsense is not acceptable, but being new and having to have the fight explained to him is normal.

Sorry but no. It's common courtesy to come in having at least SOME idea what you need to do. It's better for you and better for the 7 other people you are playing with if you know what to expect. Going in blind is wasting everyone elses time. People don't want to have to take 5-10 minutes going through an explanation (that will probably go over your head anyway since its just in text form) EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY QUEUE UP. Add up a few runs and that is hours out of peoples lives, when you couldve taken 10 minutes to watch a youtube video yourself and got a better explanation.

If you go in not knowing anything about the fight, you have a higher chance of causing wipes, are expecting to get carried. You're not pulling you're own weight as much as possible, and that is BS.

Yes, some people are new, totally understandable, but you should come into the fight having done everything you possibly could have to prepare. Anything else is lazy and inconsiderate of your team.
