That too.. The FCs in this game seem to only get 30-50 people and run one core group. Guess its easier than dealing with a massive guild and many raids going on. Sucks because even an OK guild with 300-400 people you could always find something going on.If you are not in an FC's "core" group, the game essentially stops for you after HM Garuda. (the last barely puggable endgame boss) Currently HM Titan is borderline impossible in the Duty Finder for a number of reasons and there isn't even a duty finder queue for coil. Even on servers with massive amounts of geared level 50's; you rarely see anyone advertising for HM Titan and NEVER for coil. Why? There are a number of reasons why we have currently, a very "shut-off" endgame. Here are a few:
- It is only 8 player content
- With the way the game is designed, leveling multiple classes to 50 and gearing them is a trivial task thanks to FATE grinding. This means that FC's with already established "core" groups are likely to already have people on their way to leveling a 2nd, or even 3rd class to 50, pretty much eliminating any sort of incentive for them to recruit or seek out anyone outside of their "core"
Those are just the main reasons.

People shout for stuff on durandal all the time, including winding coils. Must be an NA/EU issue.

This game is so young it's not even funny. We are just a few weeks past launch. I say take your time and enjoy the content while you can. Being at the top with nothing to do is far less enjoyable than the journey itself.
Not surprising. Excalibur is basically the Stormrage of FFXIV. I guess everyone should just transfer to there then huh? You seem to have a bad case of "It's not a problem for me, therefore its not a problem at all!"Geez, your server must suck. I'm pretty much stranded on a strange server myself with just 1 RL friend with me, and no LS or FC, and I've had little trouble working on my relics and stuff (besides managing to get a good group for Titan, that is >.>). The only thing I feel I'm missing out on atm is the binding coil, but that's until I finally either go back to my old server or decide to accept one of the lot of FC invitations I've gotten already. >.>
Seems like a very different story in Excalibur...

Excalibur, when it was a JP regional server, had constant pugs going on for absolutely everything, including Darnus Hard mode. Good that it is still going on, real good people can just knock out content with anyone. First 6min Garuda kill was with a bunch of random people, one-shotted.

lol, yeah. I actually was farming Garuda with random strangers for tomestones a few days ago np. Easier and much faster than running new people through Meridianum or Praetorium for sure (as long as you gather smart people, lol).Excalibur, when it was a JP regional server, had constant pugs going on for absolutely everything, including Darnus Hard mode. Storm-what?
I don't see why it wouldn't be possible elsewhere anyway. It's all just a matter of initiative. >.>

If you go to your server's forum (here on the lodestone), most servers have lists of Free Companies and Linkshells to join. With the amount of people playing the game, I don't think you should count yourself out of finding a good Free Company just yet...
"Cuz when your back's against the wall,
That's when you show no fear at all."
They made Merc'ing a bannable offense in FFXI this year, they should do the same in this game
To the OP: I 'have' a Free Company on Sargatanas that will be openly recruiting again if I ever get my account back. There's not alot of us but once we ever get enough ppl, we'll be doing end-game progressions based on where the majority of the group is prepared for once the end-game events are implemented. One problem with not already having a 'niche' FC for a particular member's progression is the reality that that member may have to backtrack a bit and wait for a FC to catch up, and the player is at fault for not being patient (while they could obviously try to work on their progression on their own while they wait) in that matter causing upstart FC's not to get alot of recruiting done. So both sides end up stagnating...

actually I do see shouts for it form time to time, and I successfully formed a party (read: formed a party, not won) for turn 1.
The thing is, Coil requires some coordnation, so if you can't get everyone on some kind of voice chat or not everyone totally knows the fight, you're probably not going to get through it.

On Ultros, I've seen somebody pugging for titan HM and they demanded that the person must have vent. And just recently someone shouted for some DDs for coil (can't remember which turn).actually I do see shouts for it form time to time, and I successfully formed a party (read: formed a party, not won) for turn 1.
