Am I the only one who feels kinda screwed by not having a decent FC?

I was in a FC since beta but when the game went live the broke up after the first event lol. Anyways it feels like I missed the boat as I couldn't gear quickly like people in FCs have been doing. The ones who ran speed runs while possible are light years ahead of most now. While I am stuck grinding Duty Finder AK :C Its an awful slow experience.

Now it feels all the good FCs are full and the ones accepting want you to have gear that will take a month to get grinding AK duty finde (FULL DL + RELIC)r. It just sucks to behind on the treadmill having a hard time due to the random crappy groups and long que times.

I hear the game becomes unplayable without a static group at Titan. Hence you have the "Elite" FC's charging us poor PUGERs to get our relic. To join their FC you need a relic. So they set up a little business charging people to gear up for FC's.

it's not like they need you to clear the content or as if they're looking to run a charity. the service is there if you feel that there's no other way to progress, but it's up to you to take it, or not. nothing wrong with that.

If you are not in an FC's "core" group, the game essentially stops for you after HM Garuda. (the last barely puggable endgame boss) Currently HM Titan is borderline impossible in the Duty Finder for a number of reasons and there isn't even a duty finder queue for coil. Even on servers with massive amounts of geared level 50's; you rarely see anyone advertising for HM Titan and NEVER for coil. Why? There are a number of reasons why we have currently, a very "shut-off" endgame. Here are a few:

- It is only 8 player content

- With the way the game is designed, leveling multiple classes to 50 and gearing them is a trivial task thanks to FATE grinding. This means that FC's with already established "core" groups are likely to already have people on their way to leveling a 2nd, or even 3rd class to 50, pretty much eliminating any sort of incentive for them to recruit or seek out anyone outside of their "core"

Geez, your server must suck. I'm pretty much stranded on a strange server myself with just 1 RL friend with me, and no LS or FC, and I've had little trouble working on my relics and stuff (besides managing to get a good group for Titan, that is >.>). The only thing I feel I'm missing out on atm is the binding coil, but that's until I finally either go back to my old server or decide to accept one of the lot of FC invitations I've gotten already. >.>

You're probably very correct since the type of people that would pay for mercs are most likely gil buyers.
