    Nope, it's totally viable to win with that (w/ lv50+ weapon).

    Under geared means waaay obviously undergeared, not "my gear isnt' great, but i'm not utterly jeopardizing the mission."

    jewel dont need to be HQ, the lvl 49 are what you can get as pre-mature lvl 50, however you do need ilvl55 or ilvl60 as minimum and those can get via GC (ilvl55 green), ifrit (ilvl60 blue) & AK (ilvl60 green)
