If you can oneshot titan its actually really quick tomes for 9 minutes of your life

I have every job leveled from 1.0 wanted to get relics for them all, its a bother to ask new people in your FC who only have 1 job leveled to go back and kill titan countless times for all my relics I want to get for all my jobs. It might only take 10 min but still your bothering people when they could be doing other stuff. If you feel like you are bothering people in your FC to do content that should only be done via FC, I think it's time to find a new FC. We are constantly going back and doing low level dungeons and HM primals groups for everyone in our FC, thats kinda what they are for.
HM Titan should not even be in the DF. It is something that should be done via FC or premade group. The DF does not allow you to use one tank and 3 healers, which is almost necessary for a PuG group. If you PuG this and expect to clear it LOL.

Im going to have to agree with Narga here, there are far to many elitists on the GAME that want everything NOW and if your not flawless it's everybody eases fault =p
Kick back and enjoy the ride people the games not even out of it's baby steps yet.

That's not what the OP or other people are saying. They're saying that because of people with crap gear you can't beat HM Titan. I haven't had the experience but I'm starting to get the understanding that a lot of these are hard unless you have decent gear to help you hit certain thresholds.
The group as a whole whether it be everyone pulling their own weight or someone being carried has to be able to do things as a whole. If your group only has enough skill/gear to carry their own weight, 1 person thats not pulling their weight will lead to failure. If everyone does pull their own weight or that of others then you can beat HM Titan.
So it has nothing to do with being elitist or a dick, that's just how things work, whether it's in life or a video game. If not enough people pull their own weight or carry others on their back you will fail.

Partially correct. You need strategy to win. You need to know what to avoid and how to survive certain parts of the fight. But you are missing an important point. Gear does matter. It matters a lot in this fight.
Simple fact: Tanks have a certain amount of HP and defensive ability they MUST HAVE to survive recurring large hits.
Simple fact: Healers MUST be able to put out a certain amount of HPS (Heals per second) to top tanks and the party up after big hits.
Simple fact: Your group's combined dps MUST be capable of killing Titan's heart in a certain amount of time or you fail.
For every person that doesn't meet the average requirement, so called "crap gear"... the requirement for every other person in your job role just increased to make up for the difference. The only exception to this is the tank, if the tank isn't geared sufficiently he just dies and you wipe and that's it. This is what people don't seem to get. "I beat it with my gear so you are too picky" ... No.... All that means is your over geared party members carried the portion you couldn't.
This isn't an attack against you personally Narga, I have no idea what your gear is. But that attitude of "well I did it in this gear so you expect too much" is not conclusive of anything.

This is true in the sense that even people who have properly geared themselves will still need to know the strategy to win the fight. It's used too often though as an excuse, if you look closely Titan HM (which I assume is the focus of this thread) has gear requirements built into the actual fight.
It has unavoidable damage that will kill you if you don't have a certain amount of VIT, and if your healers don't have enough MND and Healing Potency to keep everyone alive (particularly in the later phase, when he starts to stomp the ground eight times).
If the DD can't kill Titan's Heart fast enough, the party will wipe - this once again requires sufficient gear.
If your tank doesn't have the equipment to survive Mountain Buster or hold threat, you're going to wipe.
This is just the way the game is built, you need to know the strategy but you also need to be prepared for the battle itself.
It isn't an insult, someone can be a good player and have bad gear. But being a good player alone isn't enough, you have to be able to survive the fight and be an asset to your team. I think what people need to stop doing is equating their gear to their self worth, it's alright if someone has bad gear, that can be fixed. It is delusional though if you think that all that is needed to beat a fight is some magical sense of willpower and determination.

What's you guys views on people making money off Titan. I saw a lot of peep selling Titan in Mor Dhona. Rumor is some of them got banned, but I am not too sure.
I have crap gear. I went into HM Titan after beating Ifrit and Garuda as a healer, thinking ok I'll see what all the fuss is about. Instead of getting to see the experience I got hit with OMG stop joining HM Titan. I just stood there. They then proceeded to call me lazy. (Hit 50 on Sunday, work full time salary, have a daughter so time is limited to grind for gear, dang I'm lazy.) Noticed, that NOT 1 of the people had food buffs going, used POTs, or anything at all during the extremely tough Titan fight. So I ask, is it really the gear, or the people that don't realize that you need other items to help you succeed?
Guys i am full DL with my warrior and i take load of damage... and when the heart is explode, i take so much damage, better get a pala for MT him ?
I realy seem underpowered for MT with my warrior, even with my gear...
I need some advice how down him.
