    I would be all for a guild-specific reputation system. It could allow guild quests that award guild marks, opening up more and more as you get more famous within the guild, and even open up tiered class-specific gear options purchasable with guild marks.

    I've been hoping for this since the game was released. I hope they change NPC interaction too like they did in XI, where they seemed more pleased and knew more about you based on how much fame you had. Quests and items only obtainable by different levels of fame should be added too.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Fact:

    I was more assed to do quests in Final Fantasy XI than I was in WoW, and in WoW, it gave you those rewards everybody bitches about.

    Not everyone does quests for the rewards.

    That's an awesome news!

    Edit: a fame system like Wow's where you can make enemies by making friends with certain factions/groups would also be great, instead of only making friends (which would be more of a blind grinding for everything just to rank up reputation, instead of using our heads and making careful choices).

    I wouldn't say that, Utsusemi, Warp II, Teleports, all those were quest rewards. They were also the only means to get those scrolls, which made them valuable enough to work towards, even if you just wanted to sell them. Now, not all the quests were like this, but the system was layered enough that you had to increase your fame to a certain point to even be offered these questlines. That made for a really robust system and gave even the menial quests more purpose.

    You could get several of those spells from BCNM/KSNM. I don't like artificial barries I have to spam to get spells that everyone needs. I don't like them either to get pieces of gear that are only good for a moment until new gear is added. I'd rather there not be reputation grinds that are required for spells or gear. If they give novelty items, sure, otherwise, no thanks.
