Is anyone annoyed by the HUGE number of people using bots on this game?

Actually i thought bots were just ran to do the automated work. I know you are exaggerating when you say that WoW is already automated, but there are still commands to execute before you craft, or attack mobs, which implies that any MMORPG is subject to botting.

I'm talking crafting bots here. And no I'm not exaggerating when I say WoW is already automated. I get my mats, I pick the number of that item I want to synth, hit synth and go afk. Thats how I leveled my Jewelcrafting to 450 from 0 back in Wrath.

FFXIV just has better reasons to bot, but whatever the case, botting is cheating, and cheating is cheating. Botting to cease to exist, it does nothing to help.

So now you're agreeing with me but still falling back on the age old response. Of course it's cheating in this game because SE doesn't allow it.. no one said it wasn't. But as I stated earlier the question that the players and more importantly the devs need to be asking themselves is "Why are so many people cheating?".

And I agree that is how it should have been done with this game, given how many mats you need and how ridiculous it is to make gear. Doing this would prevent the need or desire to bot.

That is true, and i even quoted that same question a couple of replies ago, just not that the devs ask themselves, but you as a player. The devs do need to ask themselves that question though, in fact, many questions about the game in its current state.

Change the system or ban the bots? This is the argument, no?
