That was actually part of what I listed above, I contacted my ISP (Charter Communications) and wanted to make sure there was no throttling or capping or anything going on, specifically mentioned P2P, online gaming, and Final Fantasy 14, which Charter said they are not doing anything to my connection. I believe this because everything else seems to work fine on my connection as well.

Charter may not be, but it still may be getting throttled elsewhere in route--for instance you may be hitting a Cogentco , Verizon, AT&T, etc. segment after you leave the Charter's hardware. Really need a trace to the SE servers from your location to see who all is involved, perhaps capture a problem along the way.

Thank you Raist, that is actually something that had skipped my mind.

I'm not sure where I should be running the tracert to for the Balmung server specifically (or if I even need to) but a quick Google of "Final Fantasy 14 tracert" brought this old topic from 1.0 up http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Network-Delay

So I ran it to traceip.finalfantasyxiv.com

    Anyroad, here it is:

I'm not sure if that's good or bad or what it means. All I can really gather from it is the ms spikes highest between lax and asianetcom, which is understandable.
