Some of the trash pulls in that place are harder than the bosses IMHO.

Oh, there's also a pull towards the end in the Security Room (or something like that, been a while). As I recall, it's two Biasts and two Sprites. The Sprites are not going to be close enough to each other for Flash to hit both, so unless your mage is sleeping things, I'd recommend pulling and LOS'ing them around the door.
Vigil was easy, we completed it first run with 12m left on the clock, just need to have a black mage in party and sleep all the adds, then pick them off one at a time. 2 enemy types are immune to sleep the Areo-something dragons, but so long as you sleep the adds its fine, on another note my party wiped on the final boss in that dungeon, the dragon have a bit of health left and I pulled out my level 2 limit break and killed him, Black mage is pure awesomeness. So yeah just remember to sleep enemies and pick'em off one at a time, since CD on sleep is.....2-3 seconds I think? I never had to spam it before so not sure, lasts around 15-20 seconds, when you think the adds are gonna wake up from sleep cast it again to reset the timer, We were able to clear vigil with a PLD, MNK, SCHR and BLM![]()
I cant really help with your rotations as WAR and pallies are pretty different.
Take your time with the pulls as other have stated.
I suppose sleep things? We never do unless we HAVE to. Guess my healer buddy is baller.
When the dragon comes down and flames the hallways... dont fight there.
The ice sprites that pop up... yeah those suck.
Stay outa the red.
Enjoy a dungeon with two constant weapon chests (pink/purple and green)
SV is OK if you have a competent group. Make sure that your gear isn't like 20 levels below you, as that will be the biggest contributing factor to your survivability.
We had no sleeper (MNK, SCH, PLD (me), BRD). Flash worked just fine for me. PS3 targeting is tricky, but just keep at it and using the d-pads to target and switch targets. Make sure that you mark your target that you are on to help the dps (through using regular mark or preferably set up a macro). Make sure you blow your CDs at the beginning of tough trash fights as others have said! Keep at it!
I hate to be 'that guy', but if you're having trouble getting a coherent group for Stone Vigil, you will cry blood trying to guide a group through babyGaruda, which is the next DF content. It's not impossible, its just hard - learn to deal with it.
Not sure why you're having problem. I accidentally ran this as MRD without all the self-healing, the 25% extra HP and the 15% Wrath additional healing. Don't spam Flash as much as possible. You only need to shield lob then flash twice. In between flashes, use Rage of Halone combo. The benefit of Flash is that it doesn't interrupt your aggro combo so you can use it whenever you have MP for it. You should notice the yellow line connecting the mobs to know the aggro chain and pull accordingly. Also never fight where the wyvern keeps coming down.
BLM makes a lot of dungeons trivial, but if you don't have that luxury your WHM will have to take up some of the slack and pull some sleep duty. You should probably pull with CDs when they're up though as it'll lessen the initial burst damage you take, lessening the amount of healing needed and will reduce the threat generated by your healer.
Dungeons rely on everyone doing their job. One bad cog can really mess up your flow, especially if it's the tank or the healer.
I did Stone Vigil on my first try. Why? Because I always liked to pull enemies. And I have Tomahank. :-)
He doesn't mind us conducting trials so close to his bazaar, so long as he's properly compensated... Yes, Portus, we pay him in sorcery-blasted bird flesh. - Cocobygo
