There will be other ways to farm mythology by 2.1 I bet, King moogle being one Crystal Tower being another and hopefully a new dungeon or the first of the hard mode dungeons.

Doesn't change the fact of 300 myth per week, but this is obviously put in place to stop people maxing out their character in a week, there just isn't enough content in the game yet.
