Yes! THANK you! Your experience seems to more or less be mine as well, hours. You also broach another related subject: the fact that there are NO posts whatsoever for DoW players bemoaning the same problem we're experiencing. You'd think that would be evidence enough but I suppose it isn't. Still, there's something to be said for the fact that there have been no threads from angry DoW raiders on this issue (at least none that I've seen though I'd welcome evidence to the contrary).

On my way to 50 drg, I ended up with maybe 5 pieces of dps gear from lvl 15-45. However, I won enough useless scholar books and mage gear that my armory chest started to overflow. I did every single dungeon except quarn on my way to 50, including multiple runs of the lowbie ones to try to get foestrikers set. Guess how many piece of foestrikers I have... ZERO.

While leveling MRD off class, I did many more dungeons runs simply because of the queue times. During those, I saw runs where only tank gear dropped, only mage gear and runs where not a single thing that anyone needed dropped. Out of those runs, I still never got a single piece of foestriker, but saw many happy mages and dps get nice things.

I saw runs where every optional chest in the zone dropped a freakin ether, or 6 tin. With only three surefire equipment chests most times, you see a lot of run where nothing you want drops. The worst offender, IMO, was 1000 maws. Ran it several times, and not one piece of tank gear dropped. I had aetherial/plundered parts at 15, and doctore's/aetherial parts at lvl 20. Both plundered and doctore were tradeable, but from 21 until about 44, there will be ZERO tradeable dungeon drops. At 44ish, the templar's set needed for the achievement start dropping, and are tradeable. They are hardly common, however.

In the high end dungeons that HAVE gear (and several do not), the problem gets worse. There are whole sets for each class. So, it becomes possible to see a run where only PLD drops occur, or only BLM.

The problem people are observing is with the basic way the loot table works. Every chest in the instance has the chance to drop every item on the list. When players are accustomed to "this boss drops my chest piece", the randomness makes some people's head spin. That being said, the dungeon gear is nice but totally not required to hit 50 with ease. If you think it's bad now, wait till you are at the Castrum/praetorium runs that drop nothing at all. But then again, why would they when every player has their AF gear by then?

This is sad, but true. If you have an iOS device (which i am posting from), download the shiny new Libra Eorzia app. It contains full item lists, but unfortunately ALL items are currently flagged as "does not drop from an enemy" because they come from chests. However, it can give you an idea of what comes from where, simply based on the level of the item.

Another thing to note... Purple/pink items are not unique. Only green/blue are. It is entirely possible to get two lvl 15 purple "aetherial" tank belts with different stats. I did, but have since converted one to materia or I would post sceenshots.

When I leveled my Paladin I tanked all dungeons on my way to 50. I got one piece of tank gear belonging to a green set and the Ancient Sword. Got DoM gear all the way to 45 though for my alts. Random loot is random and entitled players will always feel entitled

Demogogue half-robes my first run. Demogogue half-robes half my runs afterwards. Demogogue choker didn't drop until I bought my darklight neck, after which I now have to pass on it every time I run AK.

Your evidence is one big silly anecdote. Random is random.

I have run brayflox 4 times and seen no battlemage gear whatsoever. While my friend ran it 30+ times to get his archer body and he saw battlemage every run.

I did ifrit hm 4 times and the drops were as follows. 2x SMN Books 1x SCH Book and 1x BLM Scepter. Only DoM gear.

All in all I say random is random. If it would always be 50/50 then its not random.

Hate to break it to you, but the creator of the game plays Primarily BLM. And he plays non stop. If there is something weird about the loot, he'd have gotten it changed LONG ago.
