Which one would you prefer? Why did they just ditch the old OST like that anyway? It was way better than ARR OST.

I also miss this tune. Yes, there is a shittier version of it in ARR, but it can't beat the original.

Will admit I never played XIV 1.XX but I did buy all the soundtracks. I personally am loving ARR's OST much more than XIV's. I'm very happy though they kept Ifrit and Garuda's theme though Seeing as Garuda's song is my favorite!

Nope, I'm pretty okay with this soundtrack - I feel it works pretty well so far, and there's not a track I currently find myself not liking much.
'course, just how I feel about it myself, really.

Technically the last one is in the Limsa Lominsa opening sequence, but I know what you mean.

On top of that, they kept the exact same personal chocobo theme, and then threw out the old rental chocobo them and made them both the same in ARR, and I preferred the old rental chocobo theme over the personal one. Wish they could have at least 'tossed out' that one and made a new one for that too...

The second to last, I always associated with Thousand Maws, even though it was used for just about every dungeon in 1.0, so it was nice when it turns out they only kept the rendition for Thousand Maws, but the rendition was weak. The old tune was just fine for that setting, and didn't need to be "refreshed".

I like 2.0's music, but if they don't bring back the old raid music I swear to god--mark my words--I will probably keep playing as usual and listen to it on my own time.

I think music is so important in games. If done right, it can bring out different feelings and emotions of each area. 1.0 had great music. I guess a lot of us 1.0 players will miss music from it. But as I travel and explore ARR, I haven't had a music complaint yet. I think they did a great job. That's what makes soundtracks so amazing you can play 1.0 music while you play ARR and bring it all back

I like 2.0's music 10x more than 1.0's. The new music has so much more of an FF feel and much more flavor than the original.
