lol, you really hate probabilities dont you. btw, i dont know if 85 quality is considered a large jump in quality, people say it occurs more greatly at certain intervals, but thats theory. regardless,
(lets say quality 1-50 is 2% chance
lets say 50-100 is 5%
lets say 100-150 is 10%
lets say 150-200 is 20%
lets say200-250 is 30%
lets say it caps at 30% and after that you are more increasing chances of +
*this is just random values for illustrating how chances could be, and how what happened to you isnt nec that unlikely)

in that scenario it would not be unlikely that you would fail to get +1s and also that you could get lucky at low qualities, it just depends what the formulas are, but regardless lucky is lucky
