    Paladin's Cure Suggestion

    Currently Paladin's Cure is extremely negligible at end game. Cure is the single ability that most separates the concept of a Paladin from just a plain Knight. I think giving Paladin Cure II would be OP. I suggest making a combo of

    Spirits Within ---> Cure

    resulting in Cure doing 2.5 times its normal heal amount. It would not be spammable because of Spirits Within 30 second cool down and it would nicely fit the general combo system that the game uses.

    not a bad suggestion...

    wanted to make one I thought of as well: give Circle of Scorn a HoT effect maybe? It affects all within its Radius. Would really just effect the melee and PLD himself majority of the time.

    I just simply think healing is not part of this Paladin's repertoire. Yeah it can take it from CNJ, but it only seems to be useful in solo situations, like having Protect as you'd never cast it over a WHM's.

    Once they got rid of Holy Succor and Divine Veil, they really went a different route with Paladin. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese translation for the job was Knight.

    I don't rely on healing myself. I see Cure more as a Flash with benefits, very, very few benefits. That said I wouldn't mind reaching back to earlier games and give GLD's First Aid, Heal or Nurse. Not all three, just pick one, and make it like Second Wind but base it off of VIT. Hell quest lock it and a boosting trait to boot. And before anyone starts in about that being the Pugilist thing, Square seems willing to cut/paste skills on to all their classes, so I don't see why not.

    As stated by the Original Poster, I believe "a little bit of Magic" is the only thing separating a Paladin and a regular old warrior. As already stated by the Producers of this game they will be releasing pvp and other end game content, which means that in the near future you MIGHT be needing a Personal heal to keep yourself up in a pvp/ect. All in all They need something more of the "conjurer" Side.

    I see this topic come up all the time and I agree that Cure is very minor when it comes to your own survivability. But am I the only one who uses it on my allies? When a DD or healer takes a hit and I have solid aggro on the boss (and honestly, when do you not?), that extra 200 HP can and often will make the difference between life or death, and in the case of a healer needing that HP the difference between a win or a wipe.

    If PLD Cure is neglible at end game, I'd hate to see you try WAR.

    WAR's Storm's Path heals less than 1/3rd that amount and can only be used every 7.5s.
    Their Inner Beast can only be used every ~22.5s, heals for 2.5x that amount, and then completely removes the 15% healing bonus.

    Its funny how people compare WAR self-healing with PLD blocking because WAR self-healing should be compared to PLD self-healing... but no one ever does because, unlike the WAR, the PLD has no real need to heal themselves.

    The real problem is the transaltion. The job in japanese in named as ナイト that means "Knight" but i dont understand why in english they used the term of "Paladin"...

    Storm's Path is instant and scales based on damage. Cure on the otherhand takes 2 seconds to cast, will be cancelled if monster hits you and potency scales with MND stat which our gear doesn't have.
