Yeah I'd really love to have my main RP outfit be viewable at all times. It would make me very happy to be out in the field killing things in this outfit:

If there's one thing I hated about pretty much any MMO I've ever played, it's the "rummage sale reject" look that so many people get shafted with trying to get the best-in-slot equipment for the given content; it looks horrible and there are so many good armor sets that go to waste once people have better pieces of gear.
I've been running a lot of dungeons lately, hoping to collect full sets of dungeon gear in baited anticipation for those vanity slots. I don't want the need for the most up-to-date stats to force me into wearing gear pieces that I just do NOT like the look of (in ways that armor dyeing cannot fix).
Was just think about this the other day when i got an awesome looking pirate hat/eye patch, a pirate looking chest piece ( which had 0 states on) and the Maelstrom fist weapons.
I would say just add another tab were you can but any item in, and it equips like a skin.
Hopefully when the sort out the bigger problems they will move on to implementing the convenient + vanity stuff![]()
50%? It 70% to me, aka I regard character customization higher than anything else. Not that a very good customization will make a bad game playable, but a bad customization can make a good game unplayable to me. >.>
If everyone looks the same, or too many do, then I'm not going to enjoy the game regardless if it is good besides character appearance options. It makes a game bland/boring to the eyes to me, cause I like visually appealing stuff and looking at a wide range, not same ones, problem? >.>

It makes me all kinds of happy to see that I'm not alone in the desire for vanity gear.
Just say NO! to Rainbow pimp Gear!

Thank God for dyes.

Another reason there is no rush to 50.

As a crafter I'm wondering why they didn't implement a system for us to use. We have the recipe... we get the ingredients, THEN apply it to the type of item we want. Ofcourse being the same slot for the recipe. So as a crafter, they may end up with all kinds of hats/chest/legs and whatever else. Or maybe you bring the type of equipment to the crafter yourself... and say you want the 40 recipe of "said piece" applied to this item of the same slot.
That make sense? I think that would be cool.
Yes my girl friend wants to quit because this feature is missing. Do you know how long it took to get her into this? Help a brother out![]()
On the positive side she says she likes the fashions in Rift....
