Surely Cactuar should get preference for Cactuar earrings.
Hopefully everyone gets a pair, they look awesome.

"* Due to expected crowds, we cannot promise that all players will have a chance to participate in the Titan Challenge."
That's true, we don't know how they're handling the party formations. I believe they've held similar primal battle demos at other events before, so perhaps people who have been to those know how this works? We have no idea how the TGS/SE reps will handle party formations at the event. What if groups have to get "approved" before fighting? (If anyone actually knows, please chime in!) Also, if a server is chosen twice, I'm guessing they would reroll what server gets the earrings, right? >.>
In any case, I'm pretty sure they want to attract people to their booth and want to give out some t-shirts, so chances are that the reps will be on-hand to help walk players through the battle as necessary. The battle is also "refined especially for TGS", so we don't even know if it's at the same difficulty as (or harder/easier than) the normal Titan in game.
I'd assume no world can get chosen twice, but that's fairly unclear.
Well, we'll see how it goes! Keep your fingers crossed, I suppose.

I have got to get me some of those fabulous earrings.
if they did want to prevent the idea of preference from one data center to the other they could always just do the roulette back and forth, either starting with JP or NA server center then swapping back and forth where the number of wins/servers given the earring would be equal or one data center may have one more server with the earrings than the other but at least it won't be skewed in the sense of 3 in NA 6 in JP or 8 in NA and 1 in JP which would cause quite a bit of banter across the forums if the earrings received to the servers is skewed between data centers.

You guys are debating over freebies? Wow.

Honestly, the fact that it's not limited to TGS goers getting the earrings speaks volumes about how much Square cares about those who can't make the trip to Japan to attend. And the fact that it's a lottery among all the servers means it's going to be vastly more fair than something any other company would do *coughkoreanmmoscough*. We just have to hope that TGS attendees know how to drop a primal. Easy, right? This kind of brings up why they took down "The Navel (Hard)". Don't want Titan to get a bout of stage freight and go full retard, now do we?

Special events happen, sometimes not everybody wins. Be happy for those that get something special and move on.

I went to the Titan Challenge at PAX Prime and party formation works like standard amusement park lines. Everyone lines up. When you get to the front, they'll ask how many are in your party. If you have a group of 8, you'll all be in the same party (though people behind you may go first to fill in gaps). If you have 7, they'll look for the next single in line to join your party. Or, you might get lucky and YoshiP will fill in as dps for your party (happened to another group while I was waiting in line). If you don't have a full party, then it's worth talking to the people around you to figure out who will fill what role.
Oh, and if it's the same then tanks and healers are keyboard & mouse while dps are on PS3 controllers.
meh, honestly dont care. Those earrings aren't that great anyway.
