I've been to grid, coerthas, ul'dah, LL (can't get to moh dhona (sp) but all this areas when I was exploring was raining, thundering or doing a weather effect. Wind or sandstorm. I have yet really played when the weather was "clear". Since even before this game launch I've had this feeling that the empire is the least of our worries. It isn't SE style to reveal the true bad guy so early. (least the games i've played) There is always a twist. Like take example of ff11. Sure you do fight the shadow lord and knew of him. But it turned out that the shadow lord was just a puppet or decoy to the real enemy.
off topic, one ga,e I can't wait for after seeing the demo is final fantasy vs 13. The fantasy based on reality as they call it. In the demo you see a picture That you actually see in ff11. Go to the galleries in the temple in Kazam or in the storage chamber in the secaruim. Or it was used in another game. I know I;ve seen it prior the demo.
Numerology leads nowhere...
LOL, I know what you mean... I feel like a member of one of those Bible-based Millenialist Sects, all of which sold their homes, lands, and belongings, and sat on the fields to wait for the end of the world in 1914. All this because of their calculations, based on murky numbers in their religious scriptures.
But, this is harmless... and fun.

From the scriptures of Yoda to Luke:LOL, I know what you mean... “[Luke:] I can’t believe it. [Yoda:] That is why you fail.”
Didn't he say something about the vanguards of the Public Companies tackling the new dungeon Ahead of us in mid May in the last letter.
Edit - just checked the letter and yes it does say that.
Come mid-May, the vanguards of the Grand Companies will be the first to brave Eorzea’s newly discovered dungeons. Their preliminary reports will be made available on the Grand Companies page on the Lodestone, so be sure to check it out!

I thought that the size of those patches (both nearly exact same size) was because they made most cliffs in starter areas walkable and they needed to update all the maps for that. Probably just fixed minor issues in the maps in 1.17a.
another thing about previous patches:
there were many with the same size before, thats because they updated the same files at that time, I think it was mostly UI fixes in those (wards, leves)
Where are the Mayans when you need them?!
They didn't have to fix the maps. To fix the cliffs, they adjusted the difference in Z distances registered as an impassible barrier. I honestly think most of the patch size was due to changes not yet "turned on" such as foundations for the new battle systems and some dungeon layouts.

Dear S-E,
Your s#!% has improved, but it's not quite there yet...you might want to see to that.
Thanks.
Sixth sun of the seventh moon may actually refer to July 6th in the real world. We can't be entirely sure at this point.
Let's see what happens when the hatching-tide quests are meant to finish in ten minutes time...
Get Tom Hanks on the case right away!![]()
