Didn't repair yet, but checked the NPC right now: 682 gil.
So today's patch notes state that it was a 60% reduction in costs (500 g -> 200 g). Seems higher in gear damage (factoring in the % reduction), no?
Also, BTW, we're running our Free Company Action "Proper Care" (Reduces Gear Damage).

self-repairing is good exp for crafting by the way, grade 5 stuff can give 500-1500 exp per repair depending on item/lvl
It honestly seems like all everyone does is complain on the forums...
"SE we need afk timer so i can login!" "SE i dont like being booted for being afk!" "my gear wears too fast now" "i can't make money only grinding endgame content" "SE can you do maintenance when i'm sleeping and it's inconvenient for you?" "SE the CNJ guild quests are too hard" "SE my character has no butt!"
Like seriously alot of the threads i see just make me laugh, people want a challenge then cry because it's "too hard", want a feature for something they themselves found a workaround for then complain once all their threads have been heard. The game really isn't that hard, i did the CNJ quests drunk and in nothing but "heat resistant" armor <.<. if your gear is wearing "too fast" then lvl the craft that can repair it. I would rather have server stability than have them waste time tweak/retweaking armor durability...
Its retarded before Tank used to get 400G Max repairs.
Now everyone get 1k+ repair per run.

Just run Amdapor Keep. If you get all the chests that's 14 Bronze Pieces Each (1,400g). With 2 deaths, and killing everything I had less than 500g in gear wear (Admitedly this is in Ilvl 55~60 equipment).
So as I see it Amdapor is now:
+500~1,000g (depending Ilvl)
+80 Philo
+40 Mythic
45~60min clear time
Honestly not that bad
1k gil is nothing....
even 10k is w/e.
i still dont understand how people cant make gil.. i wanted to see if this was true.. did like 4 guildhest and got 12k-15k gil.. in like 30 min..and these are redoable... stop been lazy ppl!
I think durability system is much worse. Disliked because of how things were in XI but here it would be different. I can't bear to keep repairing my gear and crafting has less emphasis in v2 anyway - I hear other people can't repair your gear now?? It's just a chore, you could get a decent buffer from a short time doing fates that could last a while. All I see is people crying over expensive repairs and low income.I'd take it, but that's just because I'm used to it from FFXI, and it has nothing to do with the in-game gil situation. /cough
It would also make raises and grinding mobs in dungeons more worthwhile again, though I'm sure they can find ways to make things work out that don't involve bringing back the generally-disliked exp death penalty.
People don't like being punished but at the moment we are even if we succeed.
You don't get that massive clear bonus on subsequent clears.
