Either way, just as you like to think everyone rushing to cap is ruining the game for you, whose to say you aren't ruining the game for them? Why is taking your time seen as the correct way to play where as rushing to cap is seen as the wrong way to play? Your opinion on how the game should be played is worth literally nothing next to anyone else's in regards to how they choose to enjoy the game. The fact of the matter is, again, without clearly defined rules and/or suggestions from the designers themselves, a game could be played however the player chooses.

(what in the world is up with this 1000 char cap?)

Some one recently informed me that you can edit your posts to bypass this ridiculous character limit. They were right.

what about those people who are "enjoying the game" (more like enjoying their sense of accomplishment) by rushing it, think that it's the correct way, and see others as "stupid casuals" or something for not having better gear, not having experience in every single dungeon, not having additional classes upped to 50, the list goes on.
while the game is only been out for about two weeks.

They're just as bad. My mistake if I made it seem otherwise, but I don't have any love for those types of folk either.

People care about what other people are doing because it has a MASSIVE impact on their gameplay experience. More people rushing to 50 and grinding the endgame means less people playing other content and less people to enjoy content that isn't the endgame with. I could go on about how "What other people do" is and always will have a massive influence on you and your gameplay experience I think I don't need to go on further if you decided to do something other than lash out at a player who is noting his concern for the games community.

We are playing a MMORPG afterall it should have a strong foundation based on the community itself, "What other people do or like" matters alot.
What content are you locked out of by other people rushing and doing end game? Anything else that isn't end game is completely soloable if you so choose.

You are so worried about being left in the dust by people who are progressing you want them to stop until you're good and ready.

This was kinda ignorant to say I gotta admit lol

I'm taking it nice and slow. Leveling all my crafting and gathering at once along with my main class. Hell, I hold off on experience bonuses sometimes because I don't want to over level one too far above another.

I'm not much of a fan of FATE grinding either but its the lesser of two evils at the end of the day.
I realize that. My point was, until that time, I would rather avoid it as much as humanly possible. I dislike those who do it from the start, rather than exhaust all their content before they get involved in FATE grinding (i.e. those who do it from 1-50 without any other content done inbetween). 40-50 is okay for me, but not 1-50.

You need to stop being so ignorant to the larger picture.

It's not about me wanting to "slow other people down" it's mainly a concern for longevity of the game itself personally. In the grander scheme of things I am actually effected greatly by people rushing through the game, let's say I want to do a level 10 dungeon and 90% of the server is doing endgame 50 raids. I am greatly effected by those players due to the limited availabillity of others to do lower level content. It's not even about the leveling speed it's a much larger issue at hand and it's not even about rushing it's mainly the absolute ease of content and how quickly it becomes utterly obsolete. In a few weeks it will probably be much more difficult to find players queing up for storyline dungeons, and while I may not have the issue of finding people to play with many others will have a hard time even with Duty finder getting a decent group to run the dungeons with.

You can't be so ignorant to continually tell me that somehow, other people playing the game in a MMO has no effect on me, like I said in my initial post the entire point of a good MMO is that the community has a profound effect on the play experience. The server isn't just some lobby you exist in between instanced raids with the 8 people you play with, it's a living breathing community that you choose to take part in or not take part in.

Wether you even take part in the community has a profound effect on it, that's one less person inside of it, one less person to play with.

MMOs live and die on their community and the lack of tools to foster one, and general attitude of a portion of the playerbase leaves me a tad uneasy. So like I said before people rushing the game has profound impact on my gameplay experience, it's a unavoidable truth.

If you want I can really expand on why even a single players action can effect the community on a large scale or how the community can effect a single player profoundly...but I somehow doubt you want to hear about that so I'll leave it be unless you want to actually hash this out.
