You seem to be forgetting that human beings are the ones who are servicing this to us. You keep mentioning "Square," like it's a contiguous being that runs on gears and latches rather than living, breathing people who will think it's bullshit that the hours that they're employed and contracted for are flipped just to satisfy you. It's a two way street for the upper management at Square. Remember that.

    There are many video games companies that have employees working long shifts or odd hours. In fact I would say it is the norm. Look up "EA wife" for instance on the internet. I find it odd that a company would be against having employees working late or staggering shifts for a (hopefully) rare down time for this kind of maintenance.
