Why is the NA data center doing the maintenace during prime American Hours during Japans down time?! Is this going to continue, one time was cute this is an unacceptable time for NA/EU.

They have a North American branch, FYI.

I live in America on the East Coast and its not a big deal at all for me. They can do maintenance at any time they want for all I care.

Because they live in Japan and its probably better for them to do maintenance (especially when its extended this long) during the day when the are in the office?

It's funny on other mmo's when EU people complain about maint timing Americans always jump saying stop complaining.
All i have to say is deal with it for ones i am happy that EU get a decent time for Maintenance.

They have been doing that here as well, a lot on the beta forums.
But hey I'm sure those posters don't mind the maintenance in their down time.

I still want an EU data centre though.

I sincerely hope the guy who posted the World Trade Center picture is banned for life. No offense to the PS3 playerbase, but i'd wager he's on one.

I disagree, I switch to PS3 to avoid the PC player to be honest. Not all PC playera but your type.

I have noticed since the last maintenance update, the chat box is plagued with spammers wanting to sell you their dodgy gil, xp ect.
You don't see genuine player chat any more because they are constantly walking around spamming their website's!
I can't be the only one who's fed up with this! what can be done about it?

The North American branch has nothing to do with the game FYI. So the Devs which are all in Japan will be doing it on their time, not your time. This will be how all maintenance will be handled, if you don't the door is right there and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I honestly expected SE to realize that there are people who made their friends buy the game so they can play together and with the server lock they can't.

People are stuck between abandoning their FC's (that are together since p3) and their characters or let their friends wait outside (at worst cases, fiancee).

Allowing character creation before transfers was a real stupid Idea our guild and friends are still scattered. Hope they give a free transfer and don't lock the worlds.

PS From a business stand point it makes sense but from a customer service side it was not the brightest decision. Just wanted to clarify I know the difference between making money and satisfying customers.
