OP and everyone who agrees with him don't understand basic economics. The economy in the game is fine. Making money is super easy if you actually put a tiny bit of effort into it. Money is not being drained out faster than than it's being brought in. SE has the means to see the total amount of gil being fluctuated through each server. If it was a major issue, it would already be addressed. Even if that were the case, there wouldn't be any kind of disastrous effect. It would just change how people play the game. Quit whining about how you're not a millionaire from spamming leves and dungeons. Learn to use the marketplace and get on a land/hand class.

To provide an example for the uneducated masses, even the so called auction house that many relly on makes the problem worse.

Example: I succesfully sell a weapon for 100K in the auction house. The buyer was named Quesse.

Quesse lost 100K when purchasing the item.
Zeons won 95K when selling the item.
The game deducted 5K (5% of the fee) from the transaction.

    Overall: The economy lost 5K.

The big problem with this game is that repair fees are too high, and while auction house items may reduce in price, repairs will not. If the cost of repairs actually adjusted to the amount of money in the economy then we would not have a problem. However, since this activity does not follow the lines of supply and demand, combined with the fact that we do not acquire sufficient gil to compensate fates, leves, and dungeons, we are facing an unstable situation that will force us to create new characters in order to farm gold.
