Getting a "job" won't help the economy. Levelling a profession takes money out of the economy by buying materials from a vendor, buying materials from players and selling crafted items to other players (market board takes a cut).
these people that havent done endgame yet and come posting in these threads crack me up
It's true if enough threads appear on this page it will have to be addressed because not addressing it and just ignoring it will obviously show they don't really care about the games economy.
Wait till everyone stop getting money from quests and you will see how quickly money vanishes from the server. It seems some people don't understand the issue but comment on it anyways blindly without reading what others are saying. If players are poor then they won't be buying any of your wares in the future. Is it really that hard for people to understand or what?I made 100k in the last few days just selling the stuff that was dropped off mobs on the AH with my retainer. That's after I use my gil constantly to teleport around everywhere because I'm lazy. I haven't touched a crafter, I'm just selling things from my bag on the market block, nothing more. I'm baffled by people saying they have money problems? I don't get it.

No leeching, No PL'ing, just 100% playing the game.
Player
I have almost a mil now also, doing quests, playing the market, crafting etc and im only lvl 45... also a TON of gil is constantly being injected into the game. There is a constant stream of fates that are taken down within 1-2 minutes of popping. Each of these gives the 50-100 or even more players zerging them 50-90 gil a each.
If you look at the small picture 60-100 gil per fate doesnt seem like much but when you realize 50-200 players all are getting this reward constantly per fate and among several zones it adds up to hundreds of thousands of gil per hour. Add the gil from duengon runs, quests, selling trash mats/ items to shops from monster drops...
Im just not seeing the problem people complain that its hard to make money but it just isnt true.
Ok, now just take into consideration the fact that you will then need to repair all of your gear at some point, making that gil you just made from fates pretty much invalid.
That's your Personal Wealth what's being addressed is the Economy.I made 100k in the last few days just selling the stuff that was dropped off mobs on the AH with my retainer. Currently the economy is the problem, there are more gil sinks than there are ways to add "new gil."
It seems that it's only affecting certain individuals.I have almost a mil now also, doing quests, playing the market, crafting etc and im only lvl 45... also a TON of gil is constantly being injected into the game. Friend keeps complaining that no matter what he does, he's got too much gil on 50 dungeons. *shrug*
Stop teleporting everywhere, that helps. Get your Alagan pieces as quest rewards when and where you can and just be frugal. I havent even touched a crafting/gathering class yet and I'm only level 32 and I've accumulated over 100k. I like lower denominations like this rather than inflated prices like in 1.0 because gil was so easy to come by.
Are these complaints stemming mostly from the Legacy Server community or is it from the Legacy Free servers?
