I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
I would hardly call this an exploit. Admittedly, I hate it, but I wouldn't call it an exploit.
It's not an exploit it's poor dungeon design. GW2 is the same, i think people still skip Kholer if the troll doesn't spawn.
It's not an exploit. You can do this in any dungeon. There isn't any reasonable way to prevent sac pulls + dying and rezzing, and in fact it was a completely acceptable mechanic in older MMOs.As anyone who's ran this dungeon would know, speed-running via death+raising is the only accepted way to go now. I can't blame people for wanting to breeze through it, but I'm curious what SE's opinion on this is?
There is also a lesser used exploit regarding Demon Wall, and glitching him. I've never known it to be successful personally, but I have had to misfortune of weaker players trying to get it to work in pick-up groups. >.>
Part of the reason everyone skips the trash is there's no reason to fight it, in low level dungeons you want the EXP so you kill everything. Here though, you don't.
Yup, totally the same thing! Please engage brain before posting.
Regardless, and what many people fail to understand, is I'm not trying to condemn the players for taking the easy way out. I'm just curious as to what SE's stance on the matter is, and whether we have to be worried or not. I suppose considering 99% of players running the dungeon do it this way, there's no way they'd punish us now.
SE might consider it an "exploit," they may not. It's certainly an abuse of poor game mechanics, and that's been enough to warrant banning before.

There is no skill in the game that will make you immune to the wrath of 30 level 50 mobs for 10 seconds.
You are evading mobs that are consider trash mobs so yeah basically the same thing in both. One use the sac pull and the other you try not to aggro. Two different tactics for two different type of dungeon. Before insulting try to understand first.

Considering how sac pulling was never a bannable offense in FFXI, I think you're grasping at straws. Exploiting AI mechanics - that's offense worthy, but not doing dungeon's the way a minority (albeit a bloody loud one) wish for - meh. I'd say leave as is. If people want to burn their precious gil on repairs, let them - but while we can skip huge repair bills.. I and many others wouldn't wish to have the minority's playstyle forced on us.Regardless, and what many people fail to understand, is I'm not trying to condemn the players for taking the easy way out.
